- I'd ignore Chantelame because afaik this is just another Bladesinger Kit, it will not ruin your game experience to leave it out. Skip the mod.

- BG1UB 13-2 is here: http://kerzenburg.ba...13-2_141026.zip . Could be that your BWS is looking for a slightly older Version (timestamp), in that case just force the installation.

- I could not find the stratagemsv28 fix either. I suspect it' either lost or integrated into the main v28 file since gibberlings3 changed Domains.

The dependency problems should be solved then.

 

Macholy's mods are lost unless a user can upload them again. Macholy's Domain is down. You'd likely have to skip them.

No, it was just likely updated(to v1.5) just like the BG1UB you said... dah.

Yeah, i have that version of Unfinished Business, but it is looking for an older one, bg1ub_v13-2_140924.zip. How do i tell it to look for the new one?

 

And yeah, the BG2 Fixpack and Tweak Pack files the i have are fresh from G3. Maybe slightly newer as well. Changing the install file to match what i have would do the trick, i guess, but i don't know how to go about doing that.

Links for downloading are in Mod.ini file located in BiG World Setup\Config\BWP\ or BGEE or BG2EE or...

You'll have to manually change links if they don't work.

Well, you actually need to clear all the CD/DVD/Image drives before you try to install the mods to the game, so there can be nothing in any of them. It has to do with the way the game clings to the data it's instructed silently to have (like CD checks etc).

There are some new selections in the latest bws, the Arkenor's Adventure Picks look good:

including many mods while strict the exp and remove some items just too powerful.

That's what you get from a preselected picks. You are not bound to just use those mods, but the other mods do not come with the "there's no ring of protection +10's" guarantee. There's only one mod that has one, but that's besides the whole point really.

I was wondering if if there are user-made mod selection sets available somewhere?

The default recommended or tactical selections are either way too cheesy or way too hard. And as time passes, more and more badly documented mods make it into BWP, making it extremely difficult to estimate how hard or easy the final install will be.

 

I remember spending hours reading through the BWP pdf and all the mods' documentation trying to eliminate cheese/stupid stuff/op stuff, but even then only one bad mod was enough to make the game completely unplayable (e.g. the fucking op party that follows and ambushes you every few days).

 

Now that BWS has this rather nice way of quick mod selection and saving selections, I'm sure many of you put together some fine, balanced selections.

I was looking for a complete playthrough, maximum amount of quests...

@Xintog: Use the download from branches-tab (2014-11-25) and not the download-tab as the missing content was put in later and it was not made available as a separate download (underneath the download-tab).

Dabus I think what Xintog is referring to is if there is a mod selection that meets the criteria he is talking about. instead of the usua recommended/tactic etc.

 

But i have a follow up. What is the difference between the two version you can download (2014-10-15 vs 2014-1-25) then?

 

Is it mod selection only, or are the coding the program as well?

 

Or is it so, that you only make a new download if there are changes to the program itself?

I was doing a test install and ran into the following issues:

 

ERROR: Failure("resource [_NOBL2.cre] not found for 'COPY'")
Finch NPC for Tutu (Finch NPC) was not installed due to errors.

 

ERROR: End_of_file
Amount of -ahem- details and BG-style vs. description text! (Baldur's Gate Romantic Encounters) was not installed due to errors.

 

ERROR: Failure("Unknown macro: chooseasoundtrack")
Install Audio Files -> Install Soundset, Voiced lines, and Music (Aran Whitehand NPC) was not installed due to errors.

 

All the files were downloaded and passed checks, extractions, etc.

 

Any ideas?

@overhjorten: I know that those selection / picks include BP and tweaks and questmods and all that stuff.<br />So if there's nothing selected of all that, I just wanted to state my bet that the selection was empty.<br /><br />Since you can also see that alien populated those with his last commits and those are included in the last master,zip, that's highly possible.<br />If you chose the older download from a month before, you don't have these "settings" and end up with a minimal install.

Hi!

 

I just used the BWS to do a Tactics install on a GoG copy of original BG2 and the BWS installed TeamBG's Armor Pack for BGEE and BG2EE.  That mod includes a CRE with 9 letters cmtb2ees1 that causes a crash in Waukeen's Promenade.  Jarno thinks this is because oBG2 can't handle CREs with more than 8 characters.

 

This mod should probably be removed from installs onto non-EE games.

J'utilise la derniere version de BWS => bws_20141015.exe et pourtant il manque ces mods. 

Quelqu'un aurait il un fichier mod.ini à jours ? Ou une version de BWS qui fonctionne ?
