Hi, I've been trying to download and add some of these kits to my Tutu game.

Problem is, I can download the Mod Manager but then I get asked which game I want to manage: 'Fallout 3' or 'Fall: New Vegas'.

Huh? I'm trying to download PC/NPC kits for BG Tutu.  I've tried attacking it a couple of different ways but keep ending up @ the same place.

Here's the link to the spellhold studios kits.  There's maybe 30 different classed ad some of them look interesting but I can't figure out how to get to 'em.

Thanks, Stan

The Mod manager you downloaded was most likely the Fallout 3 mod manager, it's called FOMM for freaks sake, and started by running the fomm.exe.... not the discontinued BG2 Multi install tool. Read the origin thread again and you are likely to discover this to be the factual case.

The best thing you can do is copy the current game folder to a safe space, "uninstall" the game using the Control Panel and removing the game folder and then reinstall it to the same folder, then cut the new games folder to elsewhere and then cut paste the old game folder to where it originally was, then edit the new folder's baldur.ini file's [Alias] directories so it's in the new locations.

Now to the kits, you need to install them to the game folder you wish them to be in, so in a Tutu game, you first need to have a clean BG1 and BG2 installs, then make the EasyTutu install that creates a new game folder, then you should of course start it and a new game in it so you can see if there's things you need to adjust(black boxes etc.) Then you can modify it further, and install the megamodkits mod to that folder.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Thanks or taking the time to reply.  Unfortunately, I'm not able to follow all that.  I note that I may be using the wrong Mod Mgr.  Not sure what to do there since that's what runs when I try to download the mod kits from the Spellhold downloads section.

Are you saying in the second paragraph that I can still use this Fallout Mod Mgr but have to complete all the copying, pasting, uninstalling, reinstalling before editing the baldur.ini files?  Actually I'm not even sure why I asked that b/c I'm quite certain I'd hose that up too.

I'm used to downloading a mod, running the executable, making sure I stick it in the Tutu folder, selecting those parts I want to install &, pow, my mod is installed.

I guess what I'm trying to install is an old MegaMod.  Too bad.  Seems like some really interesting kits for PC/NPC

Well, I was trying to say that there really is no mod manager for the Baldu's gate game...

Hmm, you probably need to download the mod correctly to your computer... I say that because it might be that your browser setup might be set to launch the Fallout Mod manager to be the default program which the downloads are Open with . I always use the Save File . And then go to the folder it was downloaded to and so on and so forth.

The view I have after pushing the download button:
