I have just completed the BG1 portion of a BGT install, and have so far progressed just a little in the initial dungeon of BG2.  My BGT game was installed via Big World Setup on 11/01/15, using the "Recommended" mod selection, plus Pack Mule, eight additional items/shops mods, and BG2 Bigger Fonts mod, minus WTP Familiars for Throne of Bhall (it would not install).

My game has been mostly bug-free (just two random crashes in BG1), but I am unhappy with the increased difficulty of many battles and the reduced XP, gold, and reward items, which I believe are caused by some of the mods, particularly Sword Coast Stratagems (SCS).  Is it possible at this point in my game to safely re-run SCS in order to back out most of the difficulty increasing components, or will that bork my game?

Am also wondering about Ding0s XP mod and the EET Tweaks mod - they both claim to reduce creature and quest XP rewards by 75%.  Are these reductions cumulative?  Is it possible to also safely re-run these two mods in order to remove the quest and creature XP reductions?

Am attaching my weidu.log in case it is helpful.

Well, looking at the mods you have installed, you will need export your character and re-start a BG2 game if you intent try this. This is because the savegame also holds all the dialog file, and uninstalling multiple mods is very prone to corrupting the existing text resources. Text like those in your worldmap are surely going to get wrong string reference, which can end up looking like this:

The restarting the game from an imported character from the new BG2 game will fix that. You'll of course loose quite lot, as the companions will not be those that they would be if you played through the BGT, you'll loose all your containers and the new game won't have anything in them. etc.

If I were you, I would copy your whole entire game directory as a back up, and then just run the setup-xpmod.exe and try... I can't say for sure that any of this will work, but that's why you have your backup.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

you can uninstall those without problems (of course make a backup first in case something goes wrong). They are indeed cumulative, so you should install one or another, which is mentioned in the readme. I will change tp2 code to prevent installing this particular component of EET Tweaks if Ding0s XP mod is installed. If BWS allows to do so than it's a mistake (or rather something that doesn't make much sense even if there are no conflicts).

not sure but worth a try. Check if the readme says something about it.

BWS no longer allows both XP tweaks together.

BiG World Fixpack (community collection of mod fixes and compatibility patches, with user-friendly cross-platform script)

BiG World Setup (tool to automate best-practice installation of Infinity Engine mods on Windows, with conflict analysis)
