Any idea what might be the reason or how to fix it so I can try using her alternative portrait?

It is not a bug. It's skipped because I never resized them for EE and I'm not going to. I no longer believe that the portrait is suitable for the game, it does not blend in with other graphics. You can still copy it manually to override, BUT the quality will be a bit lower as the game will enlarge it to match EE portrait dimensions.
