Problems with File Downloads

As you may have already noticed, we have switched to HTTPS; however, the legacy forum software suffers from some quirks with the encrypted protocol. Most notably, the file downloads directly from our server are still offered over the HTTP, which your browser may recognize as a potential security risk and block. Depending on your browser and settings, you may get a warning, or the file could get blocked silently, which may look as if some downloads were broken.

 

Soon, all downloads will be served from our GitHub organization or modders' personal repositories, which is going to solve this problem. In the meantime, if you experience issues downloading files that are not on GitHub yet, check your browser settings or try a different browser. Please do not report files as broken if they get blocked by your browser because of this issue.

 

As an example, Firefox may block the file and give you this warning in the download details:
