#122102 Online Monstrous Manuals

i can give you demos avatar stats but you wont like them. (112 hit points for example)

#121467 Online Monstrous Manuals

Posted by Schatten on 05 June 2004 - 09:23 AM in Delusions of the Mind

what exactly are you looking for? these mm are the ones you can buy. there arent more detailed ones, i think. those i have are like that, too. stats like str, dex isnt listed.

edit: do you want more monsters? or more details for monster? the latter would be difficult.

#148345 Most powerful characters from Toril

Posted by Schatten on 01 September 2004 - 10:13 AM in Delusions of the Mind

Well, Larloch could probably take out Elminster. Larloch was from Netheril, and has literally hundreds of other Netherese lices, not to metion hores of vampires, zombies, ect. Larloch's MINOR Drain proably came from Szass Tzam, a 10 Necromancer/17 Red Wizard/Archmage 2 lich, and the only Red Wizard of the hundreds who have tried to get stuff from Larloch. Larloch apparently liked Szass so well he gave him two artifacts, and orb that could compel obedience, and a chair that would allow you to drain the powers of those who sit in it.

why dont he transform to demilichdom?

Posted by Schatten on 30 September 2004 - 05:08 AM in Refinements

True, their minds are on another Plane. However, I've read the entry in the MM repeatedly, and when dealing with the floating skull, those are the abilities they have. If you want to deal with the essence, then you would have other stats.

i was talking about a manual dealing with demiliches and the powers they have are in the hand of the dm. an example was the ability to animate and control dozens of undead monsters.

Dark demon da destroyer perhaps?
why do they need to have names? i think its okay so. they are normal demons summoned to aid demogorgon. nothing special.

#142002 Creature Revisions - part II

Posted by Schatten on 14 August 2004 - 05:47 AM in Refinements

hmmm...... can the marilith use telekinese to drag shooting/casting enemies towards them and melee them? that would be great. :D

#142453 Creature Revisions - part II

Posted by Schatten on 16 August 2004 - 05:33 AM in Refinements

I guess it would be possible - to drag vulnerable ranged and spellcaster characters to melee sounds nice.

then you know what to do. ;) :P you sure can do this. :thumb: :^^: (and if you are at it, its a good way to beef flayers also :D )

this shit auto log in keeps going on my nerves.

here it is tactics and combat. critical hit effect.
1d2 hp loss per turn for minor bleeding until healed or bandaged + a chance it stops on its own (everytime he gets damage from bleeding save vs death to stop it entirely)
there are also major and severe bleeding. i might take pics if you want. i wont type it all here.

Come on, we couldn't really keep that pace forever ;)

less sleep more work helps. and remember to cancel your rl job 'cause it takes a lot of time, too. :nana: ;)

#157810 Creature Revisions - part II

Posted by Schatten on 29 September 2004 - 11:29 AM in Refinements

Sorry, you're talking about 3E, while BG2 is 2E. In 2E:

1) They have none of the abilities you listed.

2) They take full damage from some physical attacks (+5 or vorpal weapons, or +4 or hold when attacked by a Paladin). Otherwise they take 1 point of damage from +4 weapons and maces of disruption.

3) They're immune to all magic except PWK by an astral or ethereal mage, Dispel Evil (1D4+4 damage),Shatter (3D6 damage), and Holy Word (5D6 damage). Oh, and a forget spell makes them sink back down and ignore people unless they're attacked again.

demiliches can also summon and control hundreds of liches, skeletons. the demilich in the standard mm has not the true power as i read about it. they actually are not even on the material plane anymore.

there are enough demons already. a demon in this fight is not apropriate.

#122677 Creature Revisions - part II

Posted by Schatten on 10 June 2004 - 03:00 AM in Refinements

not to mention he is more powerfull in bg2. :D
the guest was me by the way. stupid not functioning autologin. <_<
to tell the truth i think he is tough enough in the current version. but maybe a last resort action to summon a pack of blackguards may be okay.

#122415 Creature Revisions - part II

Posted by Schatten on 09 June 2004 - 06:39 AM in Refinements

why undecided what stats you use? clearly bg2 is 2nd ed, not? :P
is the phys res really necessary? it seems you like this resistance a bit? ;)
and for the resis of all tanarri:
acid 0
cold half
electr 100
fire mag half
fire natural 100
gas (pois) half
magic missile 0
silver (greater tanarri) half

balor:
mag res is 70%
fear effect of their hand is -6
the weapon only is vorpal and no fire damage
perhaps you can create two weapons and the balor switches between them?
why the symbols? i dont think they can cast them.

marilith:
thac0 is 9
innates is also pi :D .

edit: oh and since mariliths are the strategists they could be smarter. like 19 or something.

uah, ugly.

#122427 Creature Revisions - part II

Posted by Schatten on 09 June 2004 - 07:09 AM in Refinements

"I have problems with their fire resistance. I think the Tanar'ri should be immune to fire as they are in 3rdE"

natural fire, yes. ;)

"And no, I really don't think we should give Balors a secondary whip attack, since they don't have a whip on their creature animation. It'd look lame."

they have three weapons. their fist which causes the flee. their sword which causes vorpal and their whip. but you are right, though. looks better this way. :)

"They can. All kind of symbols, at will. They even use it in unmodded BG2 (at least Symbol: Stun)."

ah, yes, yes. :D stupid me. :P

"I don't think this would really be implementable, and would be quite useless at the same time. Since PIs cannot attack, and Mariliths aren't really good spellcasters, we can as well drop this idea. Or we can give them Mislead instead. "

hey, if pi can use the gate ability (i think they can?). would be great. :D

super sharp? i thought those wounds caused by rusty swords (those with many edges like a saw) wont close well.

:turnip2:

edit: someone freeze my post count immediately. :D

#151483 Why this mod should have never been created

Posted by Schatten on 11 September 2004 - 09:29 AM in Longer Road

imo you all view and judge with your own eyes instead you must look and judge as a queen who has responsibility over x elves in a reality you do not live in.
you say killing him outright is better. but is it really? your moral and your punishment are based on your rl surroundings.
ah, well, its fiction and too philosophical.
i cannot say anyhing about it. havent played lr but will if i finish my current game anytime. :D

#92868 Ideas, suggestions, requests

Posted by Schatten on 15 February 2004 - 06:43 AM in Refinements

ehm.... i just made it up so its not in any rules of d&d (i think).
do you mean a spelldescription or how much damage it does per shot?
i think no save but res is allowed and it shoots fast but does less damage (or vice versa if that is too weak). and it can maybe attack up to two targets at the same time. it cannot be dispelled (maybe not?) or attacked.

#92559 Ideas, suggestions, requests

Posted by Schatten on 13 February 2004 - 06:32 AM in Refinements

i just had an better idea as the magic golem.
let the conjurer summon an sphere like a bigger magic missile which follows the caster very close. this sphere shoots smaller magic missiles (or anything other). what do you think? :)

#92278 Ideas, suggestions, requests

Posted by Schatten on 12 February 2004 - 06:08 AM in Refinements

wow. great ideas there. :) change the one month to daily is better, imo. in one month i am way deep in the underdark or so. ;)

well, as a no-modder i dont see so much trouble, maestro. items get into inventory or on ground and change in ust natha is no problem, too. i think a mighty dragon can sense a were-critter and change the spell accordingly so that even if you change the drow wont notice it but you are changed.

#124338 FAQ

do you intend to enhance the big boys or all creatures? skeleton warrior or whatever needs changes to be closer to the pnp part or needs to be tougher.

#154121 Additional Familiars

Posted by Schatten on 19 September 2004 - 04:53 PM in IE Mod Ideas

hey, for evil wizards you can create brain golems. the brains are gathered from other wizards. huah, the fearful braingolem is walking.

edit: you could use the itempicture from the d2 brain?? :D

#154125 Additional Familiars

Posted by Schatten on 19 September 2004 - 05:07 PM in IE Mod Ideas

nono, brain golems are with the mindflayer brain, so are in the game.
and for evil wizards its fun to cut out the brains and create a lesser brain golem which you can update with better brains from higher wizards. :D
