hmmm....i dunno what u guys think, but xp penalties for raise dead sort of solve the problem....esp if u have dead chars not gaining any xp for a battle.... Er...but in bg2 it was too easy to resurrect....

Ok....i like the whole transformation time thing..thats cool. It erases some (but not all of the buff problems). Perhaps you could do a dispel magic on the PC when he shifts? Esp. if u gte some beardy g!t who has dual-classed to a mage or something. Can u imagine that thing stoneskinned? Urgh :S

I would cut down on the bonuses to abilities.... ginving natural 25s in all seems excessive.....and 25 for constituion with 36 hp/round regen is a joke. That woul take hours to kill :S

I misread the wing buffet thing..i thought it was an ability u wee giving, rather than an immunity, so it seems fair enough as an immunity. Maybe get rid of backstab immunity? Or at least reduce it to only obtaining at werewolf deity form...if ure trying to balance it, its gotta be vaguely defeatable by other classes, and otherwise i cant see how any rogue stands a chance...they will get torn apart in close-combat.

How about also adversly affecting the number of druid spells obtained, or limiting the druid spells to hostile? Or limiting druid spells to natural ones....like summon nature's ally, tangle, etc, but cutting things like flame sword, etc?


Im unsure what you are doing about the werewolf weapons....but if ure worried about dispel killing th epowers then make an item that looks like a claw, have it unmovable whilst in werewolf form, and give it powers. Though that would be fun to code :S Dunno how good u r with coding, but me thinks that would be complicated :S

Er......is anybody else gonna helpt his guy with suggestions, or am i doing it all by myself :S

You could always increase the range to some ridiculous amount with a weapon that is coded as a dagger, sword, hammer, or something like that. You'd just be left with the animation problem.

BoB? Um...where can i find info on this? There doesnt appear to be any in these modding forums..although thats prob just me not being able to find it whilst skimming through

I can understand why u put wing buffet in but im sure cyric doesnt have it...
Anyway..whatever...I still think that making this thing is just giving u a beast fighter with massive stats, and as u can cahnge at will, u effectively dont need to use the druid class levels at all... :S ITs like changing a druid into a brilliant fighter, but keeping the spells for buffing b4 hand... :S A bit dodgy me thinks....er....But whatever..its a cool idea, dont get me wrong :) I like it, but i think u need to scale down the power quite a bit :S

no idea about balance with other mods, but doesnt it get very strong quickly? And im sure that ending up with nearly all stats at 25 is a bit silly :S i suppose it is a deity, but surely thats a bit ott?

Also...imprisonment? come on! and wingbuffert? on a werewolf... *doesnt see ne wings*

Gothic Rose is kinda right...the idea was that they were one-shot per battle weapons. u really dont wanna stand there reloading pistols when someone with a big piece of metal is trying to stick it in u. Given the problems with dual wielding and avatars etc, i was thinking of changing to a quickslot item.....but could i, in using a quickslot, give it the animation of taking out an xbow, firing two shots, then the xbow disappearing?

This is kinda like not playing Deus Ex coz there is no female JC, or like not playing Gordon Freeman coz ure a woman....kinda silly....but I guess whatever floats ure boat. Um....but isn't it rather a lot of work to go to jsut to play as a woman? The Nameless One is hideously ugly, scarred, has been pretty nasty in the past, and smells, but I didnt ahve massive problems playing him....
Er...

U guys missed out another moderately big problem....
Ravel.
Ud have to make her lesbian or something? Or axe/change some of her dialogue?

Hmmm....more character development? Well, certainly it felt more like a realistic relationship....not all of it was smooth, and you couldn't work Annah out...which seems more realistic than a game in which many of the female characters fall in love with you fairly quickly, as long as you are even semi-nice to them....Its kinda the difference between being loved for who you are, and being loved despite who you are......

Actually, you could stick them anywhere...just claim they got spat out of TFoRegrets, and that they ended up there...as long as u have them initially confused that gets you out of everything :)

Hmm....i'd like to do an Annah conversion..but I think i need some modding practise first.....but thats a def maybe :)

FFG. Fall-From-Grace....the FFG romance was mentioned in both of the two initial posts on this thread..and i was simply wondering if there was in fact one......because i know there is an annah one...but an FFG one i thought didnt exist

Hmm...Ok....so it prob cant be done....
Reloading wise...it would be one shot i guess...but renaissance firearms pretty much are anyway :) So though a problem for slings, not for pistols :)

Ok....

So:

i) Is there anyone willing to help/do some invent and description pictures..ill look into doing it myself but any offers will be gratefully seized upon :)

ii) Ok, so im using xbows...is it possible to configure an xbow to use the ammo for the sling (i.e. bullets?)

iii) Am i then wrong in suggesting u can uise a sling with a shield???? Coz if u cant hen surely its not entirely hopeless to expect maybe a change?

iv) Any ideas of implementing would be nice :)

Any hints/tips/other advice will definitely be taken notice of :)

Prob not the right place...but sorry? FFG has a romance? REALLY? Are you sure u dont mean Annah.....Ive read numerous places that FFG has no romance, and ive played through several times and never encountered it. Have i really missed this?

Hi,

I have no knowledge of modding. Well, very little. But I'm learning/being taught. However, I would like to pose a question.

The basic idea is: renaissance firearms.

I love the idea of Duelling pistols in BG2, or a blunderbuss or something. Obv i wouldnt make them overpowered, but it would be nice to see something a little different. Now, the questions are these:

i) Is it possible to create an animation for a weapon that looks roughly gun-like? (i am expecting the answer no, but im checking possibilities here). Otherwise I'll just use the xbow animation, or possibly the sling.

ii) Is there a way of turning off the restrictions on dual-wielding missile weapons...it wouldnt really be appropriate to something like duelling pistols.

iii) Is there someone out there who would be willing to draw quality item description pictures and inventory icons (a ground icon would be nice, but im not desperate for that)?? The reward would be much kudos, a passing mention in the credits.... :)

iv) Have I bitten off more than I can chew?

v) Would it be possible to create the Wand Of Frost effect but to replace it with one of flame, or possibly just a grey version (for the blunderbuss).

vi) Ive bitten off more than I can chew haven't I?

Please reply.....Ive got some ideas, and i reckon this could be pretty cool, even with lots of restrictions but..........
