#213955 Spoiler on KOTOR 3.....inside source

Posted by T.G.Maestro on 06 July 2005 - 01:41 AM in KotOR Series

Sounds promising so far.
One note though - please try to separate plot spoilers and generic information if/where possible. While I'm absolutely interested in information about the game itself (base concept for example), I definitely don't want to read any important info about the plot. ;)

Hah, it is funny (and worth noting) that some posters here on another thread actually suggested the very same name for KoToR3... :)

That is completely acceptable by me. ;)

#211727 What happens to Revan?

Posted by T.G.Maestro on 23 June 2005 - 02:50 AM in KotOR Series

Hmm, I always felt Revan was involved quite much in KoToR2.

#212642 How much time did you spent finishing KotOR?

Posted by T.G.Maestro on 28 June 2005 - 10:46 AM in KotOR Series

For my second walkthrough it was nearly 50 hours. I was much more thorough this time. :D

#209516 Suggestion

Posted by T.G.Maestro on 11 June 2005 - 09:47 AM in Longer Road

Actually, there was a thorough discussion about the mask last year, where we seemingly reached a concensus, and thankfully reduced the number of unnecessary and unexplained effects (the same goes for his other abilities and effects).
Sadly enough, that process of balancing him stopped back then - while most of the required files and changes are complete, Dorotea lacks the time to add them. :(

#209619 What happens to Revan?

Posted by T.G.Maestro on 12 June 2005 - 02:50 AM in KotOR Series

quoteing myself

fight the 'True sith'

thought that was pretty clear

apparently that is what hte whole war Revan waged was about to get everyone ready to fight them

Well, I don't think it is that clear at all. It is never stated he went to "fight the true Sith", I remember it was something like take part in the war of the True Sith, fight the war of the True Sith. And the very same thing goes for the Exile in Kotor2.

For me, it was around 30 hours for Kotor2. That is mostly because I'm a true roleplayer type, and I even reload battles again and again after I won them, just to have a more spectacular scene...

You will. Especially if you try it on Hard (or Insane, but that one is truly nasty) settings. Remember, these settings (Easy, Moderate, Hard, Insane) are all sub-cathegories of the HARD setting, which means that even the Easy option will increase the HPs, saves, attacks and defense of opponents compared to the original game setting. I play on moderate right now, and I get the feeling that the game should have been released on this difficulty from the start - while it is still "realistic" (enemy soldiers do not run around with 500 HPs), but the bosses became way more believeable (for example Sion has 391 HPs when you first battle him on Korriban instead of the original 200 or so - and the same goes for his other attributes as well).
And of course these changes in the opponent's difficulty depends on the PC's level - meaning the opponents get tougher when you level up.

Works nice for me.

#221175 Thieves

Is not Valen a thief at least in some part?

Indeed, a Fighter-Thief multi.

And as for Silver Star, it would be untrue to simply say she's a crazy evil thief. Her character has (and will have, if we ever manage to put the final parts in shape) a lot more intriguing aspects besides that. ;)

STR 17, DEX 14, CON 15, INT 14, WIS 16, CHA 17

STR 16, DEX 18, CON 15, INT 15, WIS 15, CHA 16

STR 16, DEX 17, CON 15, INT 18, WIS 16, CHA 18

It seems its not only the powergamer players who tend to overpower an NPC's stats...

Heh, I'm glad you liked it. :D
You just  wouldn't believe how many players try to kick him/herself this way... :WTF:

At this point I'd just like to congratulate TGM on getting at least one player to kick himself in the butt in order to prove that it's possible. Truly a remarkable feat.

Thank you - thank you very much!      ^_^

If we're talking records, back when I made my original post I actually tried kicking myself in the head to see how much power I could get. Seriously.

I can't do it any more.

So I guess your attempt was successful? :coolthumb:

#209823 Searching for a mod

By Master Flurry and Master Speed (and by using a 2-bladed lightsabre) my character attacked 4 times/round.

On the other hand, I truly wouldn't recommend using those spells for druids: most of them were never meant for druids, they are strictly clerical spells.

I think I may just uninstall the EoU Shapeshifter Rebalancing component all together.

That is the wise thing to do (without any offense to the creator of EoU).

Lets just wait for Littiz, he'll be the one with the right answers this time. ^_^

#207546 HK-47: Was he pointless?

He was, but knowing how more funny he could have been, one gets easily disappointed.

Yeh, that would have been most funny!

He still had some essential dialogues, like the one that happens when you upload the "Pacifist Protocol" into his processing unit...

Now THAT was fun indeed. :P  :thumb:

#218496 where is the power?

Posted by T.G.Maestro on 11 August 2005 - 01:33 AM in Refinements

They [assassins] keep em if they go fighter.
Must NOT happen. They should lose the abilities even here.
But, this is *NOT* caused by Refinements.

You mean those abilities aren't reactivated after the assassin kit becomes active again? As I know, all innates of the old class/kit should reappear as useablele once the character surpasses the old class' experience with the new dualed one.
