Sorry resurrect this thread, but I got the same problem using BWS. Do I need to reinstall to fix this?
*Edit*
The offset helmets is really bugging me, can I get a link to the previous 1pp that works with IRv3?

It looks like the Finch NPC fixes in the BWP Fixpack are no longer there. I get the same error as this post. It looks like it's present in the previous fix pack 14.2.7. Is there a reason this was removed? I'm using BWS to install.

Ok so if I use Finch v3 and grab the old fixpack fix it should work?

I ran into this bug when trying to install BWP using BWS:
##### Gloran NPC ##### ### 0001: Gloran & Virtue ### Ready for installation Setup-gloran.exe --no-exit-pause --noautoupdate --language 1 --skip-at-view --quick-log --force-install-list 1 --logapp [Setup-gloran.exe] WeiDU version 23700 Using Language [English (Gloran)] Installing [Gloran & Virtue] [v3 BWP Fix] Compiling 1 dialogue file ... I searched around for similar issues but I didn't find anything that I understood. Any clues as to what's happening here? I've attached the .DEBUG file.

Was Gloran component 0 installed? If not, then that should be the reason. Try to install Glorans component 0 manually and resume.
And make sure that the English translation is in the gloran\tra-folder. If it's not in there, use the English BiG World textpack and let it insert the language.
Edit: I'd say you need component 0 after looking at the debug-file. Just execute setup-gloran.exe in your BG2-folder and let it install gloran but skip Gloran & Virtue. Then let the BWS try to resume / install the component.
Ah ok thanks for looking into that dabus. I think you are correct.

Hello Everyone,
It's been quite a few years since I last played a mega modification and I find the urge to experience Baldur's gate once again. I'm happy to see that this community is still active and work on the BWP has progressed this much.
I've recently used BWS to install a trimmed down version of the Tactics pre-selection and have begun my journey. I'm using this thread to track some of the bugs and oddities I've encountered. I'll try to keep the content to only bugs that I have not been able to find resolutions for. I have some programming experience and I'm familiar with some advanced windows OS options so you can tailor your responses accordingly. I'm also willing to help track down bugs and perhaps try and fix them; however, I do not have much experience working with the engine.
Notes about the installation:
- I trimmed out a large number of NPCs.
- I copied over the Finch BWP fix from the 14.2 fixpack as I couldn't install her without it using the 14.3 installpack.
- I had to manually install BG Romantic Encounters, but that's been documented as a limitation of the BWS.
So far I have encountered a couple minor bugs that don't affect story progression:
Thanks for your time and help!

I got this error when trying to install the latest version. I've attached the weidu log at the point of failure. I commented out this line:
COMPILE ~arestorationp/dlg/multi.d~
and was able to install successfully. Maybe there's a problem with the .D file or is it my installation?

Actually I think this might be a problem on my end. I started getting
ERROR: Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", "stratagems/mage/resource/dw#vamim.spl")
when installing stratagems. I'm going to clean wipe and reinstall to see if it still gives me the error. I've attached the multi.d though.

Sorry about that. I've already started a new install though and trashed my previous one. This is the one currently in my override though. If it fails again I'll attach the failed multig.dlg.
*EDIT*
Looks like Solaufein might have done this?
Ugh yeah, in setup-solaufein.tp2 it compiles it's own multi.d which appears to destroy everything else.

Haha, yeah I agree with you there. I guess to be fair this was written way back by Dr.Weimer himself so maybe he wasn't taking that into consideration. Should this be documented somewhere for multimod installations?
Posted by manwe858 on 30 January 2015 - 05:23 AM in Mega Mod Help
Hi Leonardo,
There's compatibility problems with how Weimer's Solaufein mod overwrites multiplayer dialogue files with other mods that write multiplayer dialogues. Instead of appending it destroys all previous changes. this causes issues with mods like the latest version of Almateria's Restoration Project as discussed in that forum starting on post 263.

I don't think Almateria's kick-out dialogs were written to take in consideration other kick out dialogs so even if it were written to be appended to the multig.dlg file it would either never be properly initiated or Almateria's dialogs would never be initiated. Also Amber writes to the MULTIG.DLG too which actually makes it so Almateria's dialogs never initiate either. So... really it would be better if the sola's kickout dialog was a separate component instead of being installed with the main component.

Hello, I've discovered an incompatibility between IR and BG2 Tweaks. The Weapon Changes from IR and Alter Weapon Proficiencies: Rebalanced Weapon Proficiencies from BG2 Tweaks overwrite each others changes. The only bug in the game that I notice is that the descriptions of weapons will now say: "Katana\Wakizashi\Wakizashi" and "Mace\Morningstar\Morninstar". This is because BG2 Tweaks is installed after and does a Replace_Textually for Katana and Mace.
As per this post from the G3 forum: http://gibberlings3....=27146&p=233188
I'm noting this here so that maybe a conflict could be incorporated into BWS since that's what I used to perform my installation. Let me know if you require any more information.

I keep getting this error.
Is anyone else getting this error?
In the latest version of stratagems this file is missing from the folder specified in the ERROR line. If you download the previous version of stratagems and find the file you can move it to the latest version and try again. That's how I got mine to work.
