Hey,

I ended BgI and candlekeep chores yesterday so I saved my game after all the bg2 (and mod) movies and ran the big world post-intall. But afterwards the game wouldn't load: the songlist was too long so I removed the last entries

100 MxDwina MxDwina.mus
101 MYMUSIC j#blank.mus
102 KSONG j#blank.mus
103 Kiara MxKiara.mus

and the game would start (I also had to uninstall and re-install the widescreen mod because I had used a wrong number for the X parameter causing a black screen). But after loading the auto or quick save the game crashes when talking to npc's: I get to choose an answer in the dialoguescreen but when I click one the game either crashes or the conversation just ends and the npc won't talk to me again.

Does anybody have an idea about what's wrong and/or how to fix this?

Well the only thingh I may tell you about this CTD is, that I encountered it in my installation also, after using the Post-Install.bat (which is most likely causing this) Removing all the content of the PI didnt changed anythingh for me so i reinstalled the whole BWP. I posted this at the german BPW forum 2 weeks ago but we all seem rather clueless and there havent been any usefull replys for now. I advice all the MegaMod players to do not use the Post-Intall.bat at this point!

We are looking into it. Normally we don't like the post-installation, but we must do it for Chloe and Imoen's Romance. These two mods in our BWP are the only ones which are not BGT compatible. If there is a possibility to make these both NPC mods BGT compatible, we don't need the Post-Install.bat anymore.

If you install Level 1 NPCs, so don't use the Post-Install.bat and/or you are unsure about the reported problems here you should not use the Post-Install.bat, too.

Here is the manually way of the post-installation:

- After you reached BG2 and have talked with Imoen in Irenicus Dungeon, save your game and exit it.
- If you use the Widescreen mod, uninstall it like it is described in the guide
- Uninstall BGT-Music (restores the BG2 music)
- Install Chloe NPC if you want this mod
- Install Imoen's Romance if you want this mod
- Install BGT-GUI again and choose a number (this solves the songlist.2da problem)
- Install Widescreen mod if you want this mod or when you have uninstalled it before

Greetings Leomar

A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.

So I guess my installation is ruined? If I reinstall everything and do the post installation manually, would it be possible to use my old savegames?

Edit: just completed a new installation and did the post installation manually. Everything works like a charm :)
I still had to cut in my songlist.2da though (ChGTKUCR CRblank1.mus wasn't 100 but 104 I think)

Thanks for the information and sorry for the problems caused by the Post-Install.bat. I've added a link in the first post of our BWP thread to let the user know the manually way.
