~GENERALIZED_BIFFING/GENERALIZED_BIFFING.TP2~ #0 #0 // generalized biffing: v1

Erhm, I would bet that you can't actually install much after this...

Either way, you can't install the CTB anyway without a restart from a clean install...

Enemy-upgrade mod, it rewards you with extra XP, it's disable in the latest BWS update, but your mod was installed before it so you still have the mistakenly made slip...

Is it D's Enemy Upgrade v1.1 you are refering to? Looks like I made a misstake and downloaded it with all the other mods even thou it was marked as EXPERT but it is marked as TACTIC in the bat file if I understand how it works, thats the slip you are talking about?. Looks like I have do reinstall... dont realy want to gain XP that fast...

Yes it's that mod, and had you read few pages before this, you had known that I spoked of it being installed within the Tactics installation. And as far as I know, dabus already corrected it to be installed only with the EXPERT installation in BWS, but don't take my word for it, let the BiG World Install.bat check for it to not be in your installation folder before you agree to go forward with the installation.

@Jarno: The BWS just does not download or extract it any more if you select a tactic install , so the mod is not there when the BiG World Install.bat would start to test or install it.

I could also add a little function to replace false batch-lines, but I don't know if Leomar is willing to do that many updates. *shrug*

The normal BWP installation doesn't install any extra kits (other than a Paladin kit from Oversight called the Holy Liberator).

To understand how to install kits using the install.bat, look at me sig :D See something related to kits?? ;) Click it ... :P and download the first attachment

Cheers,
Lol

Thanks for the link, stumbled upon it already but didn't think it was of any use to me.

So. I edited the .bat file, under "EDITING," stared outside, had some coffee, but no kits still.

Hara pri?

:P Did you do a fresh install?? Exactly what and where did you edit the .bat?? Better yet, from that list, what kits do you intend to install?? :D

Cheers,
Lol

Just wanted to add my thank-you's in here. I don't even want to think about the amount of work that has gone to all this. I tried and tried, like a fool, to build my own mega-mod installation for days, before I found the Big World. Now I believe I'll finally be able to actually start playing the game, instead of just CTD'ing after having my eyes bleed out from pressing i,n,y,n while trying to figure out all the readmes.. ahh.. Thank you.

Yo dude! :)

I used BWS to go back to a backup (three times now). Hope that qualifies as a fresh install. I edited the .bat just like in your tutorial, i.e., next to the "IFES" line. Did wonder though if I shouldn't've changed the lines beneath that IFES-line as well (seeing as they have the same component values next to them).

The TDD-kits, the SOS-kits, and the Sword Angel kit. I know that all of those won't show up in game, I'd just use shadowkeeper to change to one of my liking. But having no kits (neither in-game nor in SK) is like having your pie and not eating it.

Is this because of the new version of lightmaps mod lightmaps.1.2 ? some components that big world install.bat does not recognize them ?

@EDIT : ok I see that I was unfortunate to install it on my tactics install before the mod was sended to expert

And a yo-yo to you too ;)

So, lemme get this, you edited the .bat just like it was written in the guide (the TDD and Divine Remix lines), added a pause right after TDD, saved the .bat ... and then ran it??

If ya did it just like that, the install would pause immediately after the TDD kitpack gets installed (asking you to "press any key to continue..." :P) If you press any key, the installer will continue like the normal BWP installer (until Generalized biffing) and then, you'll see the new kits

(and you're right :P ya only needed to change the component numbers of the %IFES% lines, the %IFGS% line is for the german setup track, which you won't use :D will fix in next version :P)

Cheers,
Lol

Hmm, maybe this is more related to the above error you got. Seems to be some kinda Vista mumbojumbo :P

(btw, please shorten that "successful" list  or wrap it in a codebox )

Will it affect your install?? I'm afraid yes, Darpaek's already reported how a non-offset-fixed .cre crashed his game :crying:

Cheers,
Lol

If you don't have the permisson it may be the case that an application is using the file and thus blocking any change or the permisson was not set through the folder-structure. I'd guess it's the first one. If you want to know exactly, you could try procmon and filter for applications that use this file.

I'm trying to install BWP 8.0 using BWS. Thus far I've run into one URL error while downloading the mods. The Kiara-Zaiya soundset link has an extra ':' at the front (thus ":http://...blahblahblah..."). Just so you know...

Very nice tool :D Thx

I did not find m#yclbm1.cre in Process Monitor, being the first one to be checked, but i see the file in amber folder ....

This is a new install and this error did not appeared at the launch of BWS 8 .

Can anybody that has installed a recent BW tell us if they have the same error in big world debug.txt ?

First and foremost, thanks for the helpz0rz :)

Didn't add a pause command like you did, just added the component numbers to the line. I have no idea what went wrong, as the .2da files show up in the debug-log.

Made the changes to the bat-file (hihi) before running the BWS, and then let the whole thing run.

Don't edit and run the BWS. The BWS will always unpack everything anew, so your changes would be lost.
Edit, make a copy, run the BWS, wait for its end-message and then replace the batch with your copy.
