Part 1 plot bug? (And some questions about quests)

Hi @ all. :)

I'm playing a heavy modded (BGW) install and right now I'm doing the first part of SoBH.
I think there is a minor(?) plot bug. Here's the situation (what I have done so far, exactly in order):
-cleared the Gnoll area;
-killed the rats;
-reported to Pelltar and to Zahrdal;
-explored the thieves hideout (no quest here);
-explored the woods north-west of the map (talked to the druid, then to Martin, again to the druid and to Martin a last time - I got some invalid replies while talking to the druid, when asking for areas around the town if I already asked for every area available);
-cleared the hills north of Billybob's farm;
-reported to Billybob, Pelltar and Zahrdal;
-in the north-west woods gave a potion to the wolf hunter, sent the whiny mage to Pelltar and got the quest regarding Bonehill;
-cleared Bonehill killing both the mage and the wraith;
-reported to Zahrdal and to Pelltar.

EDIT:
forgot to mention, after having cleared Bonehill I reported to the guy in the north-western woods as well, he went away and I went back to Bonehill. I found him near the castle entrance, but no clue whatsoever on what killed him near the castle, nor in the first level of the castle.

Now, the only option I have while talking to Pelltar is to return to Lathander's temple. I told him to wait and I did a bit of exploring again.
-found the graveyard behind the temple, checked the tombs and the freshly made grave;
-back to the temple, the priest didn't have new dialog options (nor did the acolytes, that have the exact same dialog the priest have, I can access the temple services from the acolytes too);
-back to town, talked with Falco about Zahrdal;
-discovered Zahrdal diary;
-went to Pelltar, still no other options but to leave Restenford;
-back to Zahrdal, exposed him and killed him (he attacked us);
-to Pelltar again, no options but to leave Restenford.

I think I also missed some other content, as I've read I should be able to enter the locked lighthouse and I'd have to kill a second wave of bandits.
I didn't click on the lever in the temple yet, as I have no clue against the priest.

Any suggestion on how to proceed?

Hi @ all. :)

-explored the woods north-west of the map (talked to the druid, then to Martin, again to the druid and to Martin a last time - I got some invalid replies while talking to the druid, when asking for areas around the town if I already asked for every area available); <--- Will be checking dialog soon on play thru.

EDIT:
forgot to mention, after having cleared Bonehill I reported to the guy in the north-western woods as well, he went away and I went back to Bonehill. I found him near the castle entrance, but no clue whatsoever on what killed him near the castle, nor in the first level of the castle. <--- normal behavior. That's there to get you his dagger.

Now, the only option I have while talking to Pelltar is to return to Lathander's temple. I told him to wait and I did a bit of exploring again.
-found the graveyard behind the temple, checked the tombs and the freshly made grave;
-back to the temple, the priest didn't have new dialog options (nor did the acolytes, that have the exact same dialog the priest have, I can access the temple services from the acolytes too);
-back to town, talked with Falco about Zahrdal;
-discovered Zahrdal diary;
-went to Pelltar, still no other options but to leave Restenford;
-back to Zahrdal, exposed him and killed him (he attacked us);
-to Pelltar again, no options but to leave Restenford.

I think I also missed some other content, as I've read I should be able to enter the locked lighthouse and I'd have to kill a second wave of bandits.
I didn't click on the lever in the temple yet, as I have no clue against the priest.

Any suggestion on how to proceed? <--- You need to ask Pelltar to leave Restenford in order to kick off the 2nd half of Part 1. You'll get the rest of the quests then.

Did that, it worked wonderfully. Anyway I had a "no valid links or replies" while talking to Pelltar about Zahrdal, even if it seems the variables are set right (I think) since I can't tell Pelltar about Zahrdal again.
If needed, I'll make a check if you tell me which variables I need to check. :)

That's not a BP component. That's pure big world, and another example of how making changes to mods from a narrow viewpoint causes unanticipated negative consequences when observing the results from a wider perspective.

I have a backup save while still in Restenford if you need me to run some tests (even if with the high number of mods I'm playing with I don't know if tests would be significant).
I made a quick manual search using SK for the dagger, but not knowing the name it was quite a difficult task - with the item code I'll try and do the changelog. :)

It's definately BP-Balancer that changes it. I always believed that was part of Big World since it's located under the Big World download page... The item itself is MISC75 which is also used by the Thalantyr Item Upgrade mod.

No, only the BWP named things are from us. We have only give place for BP-Balancer (from Manduran), BGT-NPC-Sound (supported from Taimon) and Mid_Biff/End_Biff (from Weigo) on the BWP download site. If there are problems with one of the mods, we directly contact the modauthors/supporter.

I thought that maybe the dagger isn't changed but instead removed - so the rebalancing mod changes Volcifer instead of the weapon.
I can buy a dagger of venom +2 from Taerom in Beregost anyway, it's all the same (name, description, etc) as the dagger Volcifer was supposed to have (but don't know if it's the same or another copy of the same item, with a different code). Hope that will work with Talanthyr Item Upgrade mod.

Sorry if I ask it here, anyway Leomar do you know if there is a way to install the xp balancing component for other mods but don't remove their items? (As of now, I've checked quite quickly and it seems it's the same component that does both things.)

By each component you have this choice:

1] Keep custom items
So if you choose this, only the XP becomes balanced.
