[Release] BGT-WeiDU version 1.06 Updated

BGT-WeiDU v1.06 has been released! Get it from the usual places (http://www.shsforums...showtopic=23549) when it is uploaded to the servers. Check the SHS mirror for first availability. Changes from BGT-WeiDU v1.05b are available at http://www.shsforums...showtopic=30975.



Update (5 Aug 08): An updated version of BGT-WeiDU v1.06 has been released with the following changes. Apologies for the re-release. Unfortunately, you will need to re-install BGT-WeiDU. However, as long as you re-install BGT-WeiDU in the same place as where you installed it previously in your mod order, you can continue old 1.06 saved games with this updated version. Please check the date of the archive before downloading. The updated version is dated 5-Aug-08 and has specific mention of the changes in the Version History. The old version is dated 1-Aug-08.

Installation changes
- Corrected display of readme during installation when using the International English language

Bug fixes
- Corrected a problem with a hung cutscene in the transition if Imoen, Jaheira, and/or Minsc were imported into Shadows of Amn



BGT-WeiDU v1.06 has been released (Readme)!
Besides many bug fixes, big and small, and translation updates, there are a number of major things to note from this update:
  • saved games from BGT-WeiDU version 1.05b and below are rendered incompatible with this update - you need to start a new game
  • problems with the Traditional Chinese translation have been corrected
  • the auto-installation requires an extra --skip-at-view command-line parameter for automatic installation
  • Belt no longer forces you to transition to Shadows of Amn at the conclusion of Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast
  • new characters and characters imported directly into Shadows of Amn with no experience are now forced to level up before the game continues
  • the positions of Ulgoth's Beard (take the same exit as the entry into Baldur's Gate) and the zombie farm (can only be accessed on the west side of Wyrm's Crossing) have changed
  • the BGT-WeiDU v1.05b patch is no longer required

Changes for BGT-WeiDU v1.07

Installation changes
* Added InParty() requirement to weapon shattering script to allow compatibility for BGTTweaks "Enemy items shatter" component
* Corrected importation of sound sets in the German installation
* Corrected installations with Baldur's Gate installations ending with an isolated number
* German installation now imports all Safana, Gnome, GnomF, and Wench sounds from Baldur's Gate I
* Re-coded patching of items that shatter to prevent issues occurring if the items had been previously patched (such as Item Revision mod)
* Updated Castilian translation of the world map strings used by the World map modification
* Updated Simplified and Traditional Chinese translations
* Updated to BiggDU version 209

Bug fixes
* Added error checking for hit point and constitution adjustments for new characters
* Corrected problems with the world map, fixing a crash on entering Small Teeth Pass and possibly Nashkel Carnival from Durlag's Tower
* Corrected hit point, known spell, memorised spell, portrait, proficiency, script, starting equipment, and THAC0 errors in joinable NPCs
* Corrected the starting hit points for the Barbarian class
* Fixed a bug that allowed Jaheira to cast Strength of One as a level 1 spell
* Fixed a bug where a medium shield could be 'smuggled' out of the tutorial fight and a player would lose Oils of Speed that might not have been in the tutorial fight
* Fixed a bug where any wyvern could be killed for Coran's quest
* Fixed a bug where Durlag's Tower was not accessible from adjacent areas on the world map
* Fixed a bug where Erik and Jondalar could use their staves to hurt and/or kill an unarmed player in the tutorial
* Fixed a bug where Kolvar would respawn again and again as soon as he escaped the area
* Fixed a bug where new characters with 19 constitution did not receive the correct hit point bonus
* Fixed a bug where starting a new Shadows of Amn game resulted in a hung cutscene in Irenicus' dungeon in some situations
* Fixed a bug where the gibberlings, hobgoblins, kobolds, skeletons, taslois, and xvarts in Obe's training combat could hurt unarmed players with their melee weapons
* Fixed a bug where the journal entry to investigate Nashkel Mines is not given if Berrun Ghastkill is spoken to without Jaheira, Khalid, Montaron, and Xzar
* Fixed a bug where the reward for Coran's quest could be collected without Coran in the party
* Fixed a bug where the warehouse with dogs at the Nashkel Mines exterior map had the wrong mini-map
* Fixed death variables for the cultists in Ulgoth's Beard
* Fixed kill counter not incrementing problems with Bjornin's ogres, Hulrik's xvarts, Sarhedra's ogres, and Wenric's zombies
* Made corrections to some travel times and encounters with the world map
* Possible fix for a possible crash-to-desktop entering Beregost with BGT Tweaks installed
* Removed an Arkion tweak that is actually a component of BGT Tweak
* Removed some BG1 area scripts improperly used by BG2 areas, fixing issues such as the Cloakwood movie playing at Small Teeth Pass
* The correct movies are now shown for the day-night and night-day transition when in Baldur's Gate
* The player now gets 800 experience for finding Dynaheir regardless of the outcome of her dialogue
* Yet another (more intrusive this time) attempt at fixing the problems with the wrong version of Jaheira and Viconia showing up after leaving with the Harpers or being resurrected with Bodhi's black heart
* Zhurlong can no longer be killed after completing his quest without penalty

Gameplay changes
* Adjusted experience bonus table (XPBONUS.2DA) to a fraction of the stock Throne of Bhaal table (DISARM_TRAP/25, PICK_LOCK/50, LEARN_SPELL/100)
* Modified the training fight to end in the same way as Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast (no more cutscene)
* Gorion's text now appears over his head during the cutscene of his death
* Reverted changes to access of Ulgoth's Beard and the zombie farm
* The Boots of Speed obtained from Drizzt now functions identically to a standard Baldur's Gate II Boots of Speed
