Are there mods that Edwin's Romance is definitely incompatible with? I mean, there may be no reason to believe there would be a conflict with, say, Kelsey, even if you've included no content with Kelsey in mind. But something like BGT, which makes Edwin a playable NPC well before this mod's content is intended to kick in...is this likely to be a problem?

I'm afraid I don't know exactly what the BGT mod does, but yes, if it bypasses Edwin's normal quest, I think it is highly likely that it will mess up the romance, since the first romance dialogue is linked to Mae'Var's death.I daresay this has been about the farthest thing from your minds, but let me throw this out anyway--

I cannot say for certain though - as far as I know, the Edwin Romance hasn't been tested with this mod.

If you can test it, and let me know if it works or not, I would be really grateful.Well, if the new content is keyed to begin with Mae'Var's death, then it may be okay. BGT primarily includes BG1 content in a single game, IE you don't have to import your BG1 character, there's a direct transition from Baldur's Gate to Chateau Irenicus, and changes to NPC's in BG1 are retained (so if, say, Edwin used the manual that raises his INT to 19, it'll still be 19 when you meet him again in BG2).

The mega-mod maxes out the songlist, so anything that attempts to add songs to the list is incompatible.
If there's an interest, I know that CBisson made his music for CtB an option, rather than a requirement, which gets around the problem. Other mods like Imoen's romance, or the BG1NPC project, key the new music to dialogue or other events rather than adding them to the songlist, which also works.
