Well, there are many kind of dragons. Now, let's see if I can remember them all:
Sea Dragons
Red Dragons
Blue Dragons
Black Dragons
White Dragons
Green Dragons
Shadow Dragons
Gold Dragons
Silver Dragons
Bronze Dragons
Copper Dragons
Brass Dragons
Astral Dragons

Hmm... did I forget something? Well, if I did, say so. What I want to know is the power list which shows the dragon's power compared to others of its kind.

I think you forgot a purple dragon. There was one in the starlight and shadow series and it had two heads.

Lots more:

Amethyst Dragon
Emerald Dragon
Sapphire Dragon
Topaz Dragon
Platinum Dragon
Cerulean Dragon
Redhawk Dragon
Steel Dragon
Shadow Dragon
Crimson Dragon

and a few more that I'll add when I can look them up.

The strongest would be the platinum dragons or the astral dragon, or one of the Spelljammer setting space dragons.

You also have a Chaos Dragon from Krynn.
Magus: "If history is to change, let it change! If their world is to be destroyed, so be it! If my fate is to be destroyed... I must simply laugh!!"

Vash: "Normally when you buy an old, used bike, you're supposed to repair it before riding it!"
Wolfwood: "Are you dissing my beautiful shiny Angelina II?!?"
Vash: "I'm dissing YOU, not your stupid broken bike!"

It's all happening here

Damn that's a lot of dragons! I suppose it isn't that unexpected, given the name of the game. ;)

To be fair, a number of them are from other WotC settings. However, since they are all based on the same 2nd edition rules, and there is a multiverse, it is theoretically possible to see any of these guys, though very unlikely. The really uber ones tend to be from Spelljammer, such as the Stellar Dragon which has a base HD of 50 (for an adult) and has god-like attacks and defences if needed.

I guess Force Dragons weren't listed (epic dragons).

And to be honest, I found it quite pathetic to have such a silly variety of these creatures. They are supposed to be RARE, yet they have at least 20-30 subtypes..? No, thanks. 10-15 would be more than enough, this part of pnp is quite pointless IMO. <_<

As Caedwyr said, these are from the entire D&D multiverse, not just a single world. Considering the D&D multiverse has numerous planes of existence, many of which are incomprehensionably large or even infinite in size, 20-30 types of dragon doesn't really seem that many to me :).

Force Dragons make their first appearance in 3rd edition. I figured to keep things simple I'd stick to 2nd edition monsters.

To answer the first post:

Chromatic, weakest to strongest:
White
Black
Green
Blue
Red

Metallic, ditto:

Brass
Copper
Bronze
Silver
Gold

A gold could probably take on same age red, and a brass could probably take on a same age white, but both would probably lose if the other dragon was one age category older. Same comparsion for the others.
Мы должны как раз дать эту хромающую страну к русским. Они awesome! Идет Nader! Кустик и Kerry имеют придурковатые weasels в их кальсонах!
