[Sir Feat of Fantasy]

Have just started BG2 with CtB.

Have completed two day's worth of Candlekeep chores and my character keeps telling me that he needs to rest, but if I try to rest in the Keep the game tells me I need an Inn or to be outside, I can't get into the Inn or out of Candlekeep while if I try to sleep in the grounds a watcher disturbs me and tells me I can't.

Is there somewhere I can rest legally, or am I just supposed to ignore this?
