Well, obviously it's the first one I'm having
problems with, otherwise I wouldn't be asking.

It's all slow and likely to timeout, a rarity for
me since I have a dsl connection.

If timeouts are a problem, then I recommend getting an FTP client like CuteFTP, WS-FTP, Smart FTP, FlashFXP, BulletProof FTP, et al. and connect to ftp://mirror.intermedia.com.sg/pub/iegmc. FTP is much smoother than HTTP when it comes to resuming files.

You can also install a utility like GetRight. This will automatically resume failed downloads. Not all websites support it but it always works on the Wizard's sites. As well as FilePlanet and others.

I am having a similar problem with all of the mirrors, including the ftp one. The download rate varies between 2 Kb/s and 15Kb/s. Timeouts occur approximately once every 5 minutes. The only file I have left to download is the Baldur's Gate Trilogy main file. Does anyone know any other location where this file is available?

Only other place I know of with BGT is P2P networks like eMule and BitTorrent.

How fast is your Internet connection? Where are you located? And what time of day are you trying to download the files?

I use flashget to download files, and it's always worked great for me on Wizard's site.

A thousand thanks to those who suggested FlashGet. I downloaded it, and now the file is downloading must faster, and isn't dying every five minutes. So far it's gone for 2 hours and 30 minutes with 127 retries, so I probably never would have gotten the file without your help.
