[Dragon Lord]

I'm having the first Imoen dream. I have control of my PC, and I rest, and I appear in Candlekeep. Imoen appears. My PC goes Hmmmm, but Imoen doesn't say anything! Whats up with this? By the way, if I click on any other NPC portrait on the sidebar, I get transported to where they are, but my PC is still in Candlekeep dream!

Heh, buggy! That reminds me of the time when only Minsc got transported to ToB at the end of SoA and then I could swap between the games which was funny. Oh, what this had to do with the question asked? Nothing, of course. It's just me catching ol' times... err... maybe I AM drunk.

Is that the WeiDU version of Ascension? Otherwise, did you uninstall CtB before starting the cutscene?

Doubtful. TBG mods are usually compatible with most others (not always, though).

after you installed the patch, did you clear the cache and temp directories? if i remember how the patch installs, you might need to uninstall the Imoen Romance, apply the patch, and then install the patched mod (and clear the cache and temp dirs).

if this doesnt work, you might need to do some detective work:

do you have a file in yr override folder called CUiF00a.bcs? this is the file that starts the cutscene (actually, i'm sure it's there, as yr getting the cutscene started, which is all it does). you might wish to compare yr version (InfinityExplorer is yr friend here) with this version:

is it the same? it should be... what this file does, essentially, is start the dream sequence, and make you speak a line from the PLAYER1.DLG - so you might want to check yr player1.dlg as well: does it have the line that begins:

(You open your eyes to see that you're no longer where you were supposed to be resting. In fact, you seem to be in a place you've not visited in a long, long time...)

again, you should. this line happens when the condition Global("ImoenDream1MR","GLOBAL",1) is met: a condition which is clearly set in CUiF00a.bcs.

so.... *if* yr getting the cutscene starting *and* yr CuiF00a.bcs is the same,*but* yr not getting the line of dialogue, *then* i'm guessing that yr player1.dlg hasn't been patched properly, and so a re-install of the (fully patched) mod would be the simplest thing. you could try, just before the cutscene, doing a

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("ImoenDream1MR","GLOBAL",1)

which will *force* the line of dialogue in player1.dlg to start during the dream sequence, assuming it's actually present. if on the other hand, yr CuiF00a.bcs looks different for whatever reason, then it'll be faster to reinstall the patched version of the mod (and clear the cache and temp dirs...) than for me to upload a working copy of CuiF00a.bcs, cos you'll have many other problems, all of which will be fixed by installing the most recent version of the mod.

it's worth noting, too, that this problem hasn't been reported by other users (indeed, the Imoen Romance is, to the best of my knowledge, bug-free), so the problem is, i'm afraid, on yr end.
