no, it's not an install problem - yr describing the problems horred explained above in this thread:

edit one line of script in 2 scripts: BOTOLG1A and BPTGMG1A. Change MINHP1 to SUREHP1, and that is that...

the other problem, the mage not turning hostile, is (from memory, i haven't got BG2 installed atm, i'm awaiting KD's latest releases) that TOLGER2.dlg references the wrong versions of the mage (should be TOLMAG2.cre, from memory) (note that BP uses TOLGER2.cre for both versions of tolgerias). fixing this reference makes all enemies turn red at the right point.

thx for the fast answer, i fixed the dialog ==> the other mage becomes hostile. fixed also the wrong item-ref in the script ==> toge-+mage can be killed(the file BOTOLG1A does not exists in my installation) .
one probl left: the first time they do not attac => i have do beat them under 25%HP then the beam away and cast nasty spells :crying: :)
the summoned amnish soldiers also do nothing => i speak to them then they go away without attacking

typo--should be BPTOLG1A not BOTOLG1A

There were other small problems I found, which should take care of the guards. One dialog transition was not getting the Shout(79) attached to it, and I'm certain this was your string. Should be running fine in the next version (not actually tested).
