Paper Doll Problem

I've been trying to change my Kensai character's paper doll from a fighter to a monk, which works after following the instructions from the following web page...

...but whenever I reload my game I revert back to the fighter image. Is this normal or is there anything I can do to make this change permanent to my game?

I'm playing BGT-BP-NEJ-W.Ease of use and Item upgrades, and lovin' it - thanks modders.
