Tweaking an existing Kit in Big Picture

I'm pretty new to modding, so I wanted to start with something little. I'd like to tweak the Bladesinger kit to make it so he can have proficiency in sword and shield instead of just one hand only. I've searched the forums, but all I've found so far is how to change item race/class limitations (which I guess I'll have to do as well). A point in the right direction would be appraciated.

You'll want to edit the file weapprof.2da. It should be pretty obvious what to do once you open the file in Near Infinity / DLTCEP.
BTW, this should have been posted in the "Infinity Engine Q/A" forum.
Hmm, I tried that, but I have no bladesinger class,
the moon knight and guardian classes are there but don't show up when I'm playing BP.
I'm using DLTCEP with my chitin in the BGii SOA folder and the BG2 Effects.dat
Am I doing something wrong?
