Wooow. I've never been into rulebooks or anything like that, I just play and have fun. :D But yeah, that's something I had thought too, of the Thayvian people that is.

Thanks a lot, glad you like and a big welcome to the SHS community. :D You were an active member before you even registered!

Hahahaha thank you! :D And if you'd ever ask, I'd definately do it! I've been playing around with a couple of sketches of Rini and Edwin and so on, but I'm not 100% sure of Rini's looks nor outfit.

I'd love it if you did. :) The picture I have on the website is a decent approximation, but is of course something I have borrowed from elsewhere. She tends to wear her hair at no more than shoulder length, for convenience sake, and it is often a bit messy. In clothing, she somtimes likes to dress up, but for regular adventuring prefers casual, easy to move in clothes, no specific colour. If you do feel like it, please ask me any other questions you want.

Hellooo. It's been a while again since I drew any fan art, isn't it! Well, as a result of the flirt preview and my promise of illustrate some of the flirts, I finally drew this! It's been on my mind for quite some time.

Sometimes both Edwin and I have difficulties of believing that my Jaina's intelligence is actually 18.
A MONKEY PAW?!?!

So it's the scene where Edwin gives CHARNAME the gift - after of course tricking her with the monkey paw of "ultimate power" and Jaina.. well.. she's THAT kind of a girl. (And it's grayscale because I'm lazy.)

I believe most of her intellect goes into picking locks and making sure her top won't fall off.

Oh! Almost forgot. I fixed the broken links on this topic, so you'd be able to see the pictures again!

Genius, pure genius! You are very talented; I wish I had half your talent o.o

The monkey paw scene made me literally laugh out loud. I got lucky during the romance tho, I didn't put it in my mouth lol

Thank you, Tarayani! :D Have you played the romance before?

Also, I don't want to be a nitpick, but there is a big difference between Ilmater and Ilmatar. Ilmatar is from the Finnish folklore, she is the goddess or spirit of the air and water and plays a significant role in the beginning of the Kalevala. Just so you know. :)

You know, ever since I started listening to Amorphis, I've been looking to read the Kalevala in its entirety. Do you know where I might be able to find it and finally educate myself?

I presume you want it in English? I have to tell you first that in Finnish it is written in beautiful old Finnish and the translation will never reach the same level, but oh well! I'd be happy to look into it for you, I'll contact you via PM next time - if anyone else isn't interested. I'm glad to see that Kalevala interests you. :)

Oh well in that case, why not. I already sent a PM to Noctalys, but here's my findings. I also humbly apologise to the moderators for this offtopic.

Here are all the 50 runes/poems in Finnish but to those who don't know Finnish, here they are in English. I'd like to point out, though, that Kalevala is written in beautiful old Finnish and translations can never get to the same level.

If you find the poems a bit hard to understand, here is a wiki page in English that gives you a nice general idea of the plot and the main characters. Here's the same thing in Finnish, just in case.

As this is a topic for art, here is a page where you can see some of the most famous paintings inspirated by Kalevala, all painted by the Finnish artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela.

Also I have done three paintings to illustrate Kalevala: here is my view of the story of Sampo.

Enjoy!

Ah, my sincere apologies. I can completely understand your nitpicking as I am of Indian heritage and I get very annoyed when people think the main national language of India is "Hindu" (which is someone who follows Hinduism) instead of Hindi, and when people spell Gandhi as "Ghandi". So thanks for correcting me.

And no, I haven't played it through before, but I get out of school next Thursday... :D
