Hey, anybody still alive in here?

I have the Bigg Quest pack installed, and the courier that triggers the large scale battle ran up to me as I zoned in to Waukeen's Promenade. At the time I wasn't ready to fight, so I told him "I have to go buy a new sword," figuring this would let me go take a break, re-equip, rest, etc.

Then I got sidetracked doing other things, and several game days had gone by.

When I went back, he was gone.

How do I spawn him again? I'd look in the readme, but it isn't in the rar I downloaded, or it can't be opened by any browser, at least the English version of the readme.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nevermind, checked the readme in dreaded Internet Explorer(instead of my normal Opera), and it was readable. Going to spawn the guy now. Incidentally, for anybody else with this problem:

1) CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("tb#lotr")

2) SetGlobal("tb#spawnedlotr","global",1)

to get the messenger. :D

Well, I got that straight from the readme, thinking it would work.

However, since the guy had ALREADY spawned, he merely runs off when I spawn him again, and I am unable to start dialogue with him "Maniar appears busy"

also, only "CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("tb#spawnedlotr","global",1) seems to be correct, if I just type it without the CLUAConsole, it produces an error.

How do I RESET whatever variable is set, for having ALREADY triggered the LSB once? That way, I can just do the above again, and actually fight the battle.

Any help would be appreciated.

I suppose you have the old version of the mod if you can't display properly the readme. The newest is v2.01, downloadable from http://mirror.spellh...udios.net/bigg/.

I can't replicate the main problem, though. Can you post your weidu.log file?

After a little experimentation, I found out how to spawn him correctly:

I had to go back to the exact spot I was standing in, before doing

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("tb#spawnedlotr","global",0)

then

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("tb#lotr")

If I was anywhere else, he just ran off. Strange but it seems to have worked.

The LSB was fun, even though all the teleportation fields brought my computer to a crawl.

Is it even possible to keep the Amnish soldiers alive?

I had to have my mages drink invis pots just to stay alive, after my group was separated by the teleport fields. Completely lost track of the amnish soldiers.

However Cernd, with the Tactics shapeshifter fix, is basically unstoppable by any orc in the battle.

Anyway, nice mod, enjoyed the battle!

Glad to see you enjoyed despite the problems! :)

I'll admit that I haven't been able to do enough difficulty testing before releasing the mod, however it should be possible to keep alive the soldiers (they aren't specifically forced to die, but there's a lot to keep track of anyway).

I'll try to see wether it's possible to tweak the number of telly fields, or correct the problem with the quest-giver disappearing.

BTW, EoU Cernd shouldn't be considered when talking about game balance ;)

Is there any possibility of showing a couple of screenshots of this LSB? I'm intrigued and would like to just get a sense of the scale and setting. Not sure if my computer can handle it, so it might help give some idea as to how many creatures/spells are in effect on the visible area.
