I am playing a "Monster game" (BGT + most of the list installed exept NEJ) and it is a wery good picture for old AD&D fan like me :) But some items are owerpowerful (and party geting THAT staf almost for free) - like a "cristall plate mail" - it drop out from hostile party near Gullykin. My fighter/mage can cast in this AC1 armor!!!! (a terrible thing - i do happen to know how rare "elven plait mails" are acording to soursebooks)
Ok - back to my question - can anybody here identify the source mode of that items? And is it possible to uninstal that manchkin pack without big troubles?
P.S. And priest in Gullykin had a dialog bug - no valid topik available

I think the Gullykin priest dialogue is a known issue and should be fixed in BGT-1.00

The overpowered equipment comes from NTOTSC.

Which dialog has a problem?

Tnx for info - it help me understand the result of my "garbage heap" installation.... But now I am seriously thinking about uninstalling both DSofSC and NTofSC - I do really hate munchkin items and spells (for me it should to be as close to FGR rulebooks as posible - silly me :( )
Is it possible somehow to get ride off owerpowerful Items, but save the new quests?

Dialog bugs I encountered so far
1. Black Talon woomen - holder of Duke Silwershild sun quest item - she tried to speak to me by some random quotes from I can't even imaging part of the game
2. Owner of the Gullykin shop have no valid topic available bug

it is possible to sell the items you don't like or imagine that they are cursed and throw them away; with a sorcerer don't pick the spells

No one has ever said that you had to use any items you pick up as treasure. Just toss it away. Some players want powerful stuff and others don't. None of it is required to complete the game.

As for dialogs, I think the first one is part of BG1NPC, Kagain's quest. The second has several options. If it is the priest in the temple/winery than I think there are also dialog options added from BG1NPC. NTotSC adds a second priest in this location who also has a store. If you do have BG1NPC installed, uninstall all of it and reinstall again, though that sometimes causes problems depending on what mods were installed after it.

I guess it is the same bug i raised more than a month ago. It is the "cleric" in Gullikin village. It has NO VALID Replies or Links ... and it should be related to BG1NPC, but i didn't get an "official" answer :whistling: :P

I still don't know what the dialog problem is you are talking about. The regular priest, Alvanhendar, is inside the temple/winery. The only changes to his standard dialog are new responses to a dialog with Monty if he is in your party. The starting dialog has TRUE() as the condition, same as it always has. The priest does have a standard dialog with Alora if she is in the party. This is already in the game. The new priest that NTotSC adds has one dialog with a TRUE() condition and that opens the store TEM8401. So there is nothing special about that dialog either.

Therefore, I need more details if anyone expects me to actually fix what I can't find wrong.

I'm sorry but actually i don't have time to test that (possible) bug ... i hope in the week-end to play new BGT with same mods i played before and be sure i get back to you with as many details as possible ;)

I encountered the same bug. It had something to do with the dialog file of Alvanhendar. If I removed the changed dialog file from the overide, the dialog worked. I looked at it in NI and I'm suspecting that it has something to do with Indira/the Indira mod, because if you talk to Alvanhendar with Indira in your party his dialog works (sort of: strangely before you have finished the dialog, his shop opens. If you than close his shop, you can continue the dialog with him). But I wasn't able to fix it, because I know next to nothing of dialog-scripting :-)

Hope this helps to fix the bug.

Nice catch ... unfortunately i don't remember if i installed Indira, but i did once in the past and i didn't take her in my party. The problem is that you find (you can find) Indira AFTER you can talk with the priest (coming from Gulikin village), so at least teh first time you speak with him you encounter the problem ...

~SETUP-BG1NPC-QUICKPATCH.TP2~ #0 #0 // Install BG1NPC-QuickPatch

As you may see, the setup includes Indira.

If you visit Alvanhendar before Indira joins the party , his dialogue ("Eh - who's this then? - more intrepid fools etc") does not provide a response - merely the message "NO VALID REPLIES OR LINKS".

If Indira is in the party, the first time you speak to him, events happen in this incorrect sequence
Alvanhendar "Eh - who's this then? - more intrepid fools etc"
Indira "Hello again, goodman Alvanhendar"
Storekeep screen appears as temple of Yondalla
After above is closed
Alvanhendar "Indira, you look different ..."
Alvanhendar "Are you in need of blessings or healing?"
This gives 2 choices, neither of which leads back to the storekeep screen.

If Indira is in the party, subsequent visits to Alvanhendar are normal.

This is also the case after Indira has been removed from the party.

I don't know if he should or not, but Alvanhendar's store appears as a temple, allowing identification, cures etc. I'm fairly certain this bit is bugged too, as the items he has for sale are identical to those at the temple at Nashkel, including the flail "Justice" and all the items I sold while in Nashkel.

I've tried to get as much detail as I can but don't think this is a game breaker unless Alvanhendar has some really useful goodies for sale

It could really be an Indira NPC problem. Her interjections are WIP anyway (I didn't write them, but simply made them available, whereas Tutu doesn't install them at all, probably because of known problems). I'll check it out.
