Thanks! I found this thread:
http://www.shsforums...showtopic=19826
where the guy, at the end of his post, has links for everything, and also answers several questions that I found the answers to the hard way (after 3 SoA/ToB installs) last night.
BTW, I've got both SoA/ToB and "The Collection". I noticed that "The Collection" has to use the SoA patch, NOT the ToB patch, but the box claims it comes with ToB. Since I didn't want to fight my way out of Irenicus' dungeon just to find out, does anyone happen to know if it really does include ToB, and whether all this mod stuff would work on it?

Open up your BGII - SoA folder or wherever you installed it, right click on the file BGMain.exe, click on Properties;BTW, I've got both SoA/ToB and "The Collection".
Click on the Version Tab
And Other version information Click on Private Build Description
the Value should read 26498
If so you don't need to patch ToB/SoA;
I'm 99% sure you don't "patch down" like that, ToB should contain the updates for SoA and more...

I just happened to notice how badly this thread was hijacked from its original intent.
good point - posts split and topic renamed.

2. This guide assumes you have all the appropriate files downloaded before beginning. If you have not downloaded them yet, download them to your main game folder (for example, the default is C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BG II ? SoA). These files include:
1 Shadows Over Soubar 1.0.0 and its patch version 1.0.1

ehrm, i tried to install yesterday, but failed, i hoped it was ass simple as to just dl the files in the sticky and run them in the order specified in C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA(default location), wtih bg1 in C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate(also def location), both fully patched, but it seems something is wrong, am i missing something?
edit5:
darnit, retrying again, but i can't find bp 177, seems it was updated 2day.
ehrm, call me stupid, but i can't find the right topic for the most preffered way to install bp+bgt.
i just have vanilla bg+totsc and bg2+tob, and wan't to install bp+bgt, can you please redirect me to the right thread then?

edit:

in the sticky, wich is updated 2day, it says 177.
that was my fault, for updating a list whilst i'm on holidays and not paying anywhere near enough attention. the most recent version is BPv176; BP itself won't have any effect on yr sounds, that'll be down to some other mod (BGT or NEJ2 at a guess - but i am on holiday and not paying enough attention).

edit2:
will chores be gone(ctb) work after i installed everything?
because it darn irritating to do the candlekeep part in bg2.
edit3:
new prob, when on the island of ts, after i've talked to kachiko's mother, and the guy after, im stuck, i got a key, but it doesn't work on either of the altars.
am i just stupid and missing something or is this a bug?

Do you mean characters "saying" the wrong lines (with the wrong voices)? I've got that, and I've got some monsters (esp. hobgoblins, ghouls, and ghasts) that display lines of dialog from something entirely different. It's pretty funny to hear Brage sound like a woman while he's grovelling at the Temple of Helm!
I think I read somewhere that either NPC Flirt Pack or Banter Packs BG2 can cause this, so I wasn't shocked . . . doesn't seem to affect anything. (I do have other problems; I simply think they're unrelated.)
Ooh -- almost forgot! Dire wolves -- not Worgs, or Dread wolves -- actually "say" lines from some guy: "Ahh, the sveet adventurers!" (I forget the rest.) Priceless!
