None of the dialogues are right....

I installed BGT-Weidu and was playing it (with the BG1NPC mod, too) and all the dialogue that is ever initated is wrong! Now, I don't know if it's supposed to be like that or not, but people think that I'm Deheriana or Dynaheir or someone else entirely. Upon closer inspection, it ends up that the other conversations are lovetalks or something like that! I don't get it. It does the same thing with the BG1NPC mod unintalled. I don't have any other mods installed beyond those. Anyone know what's going on? Help, please? Thankees.

could you please post your weid.log.txt otherwise i would say 'wrong installation' :(

Try getting rid of BG1NPC and see what happens. All the reports with screwed up dialogue seem to involve this mod, although I don't really know if that has any significance.

I just finnished playing though the BG1 part of BGT with BG1NPC installed and had no problems. The only bug I found with what I think with BG1NPC is when I entered the big vat room in Jon's Dungeon, Imoen says something like "Wow I didn't think we would be back in CandleKeep so soon, did you? Oh there's Hull". I tried entering 3 or 4 times and every time she said this.

Also,

I have BG1NPC 11 installed. When I talked to Rev(sp) in the big glass jar and let him die, Imoen went into a dialog loop. First something about Malat, and then about the death of Rev, and then looping to a short dialog where where either you can say 'I don't know' or '*you roll your eyes'. This may all be fixed the the latest version.

Looks like BG1NPC doesn't have checks for BG2, not that the original version should have any anyway.

No checks for BG2. They didn't have any and I didn't think about including them. Jaheira's dialog about Hull should have an areacheck that looks for Candlekeep. Not sure how Jon's area meets that check. :huh:

Most of the BG1 dialogs have some sort of condition or check so that they only happen at the right place or time (checks for various inns, checks for being in Baldur's Gate, checks for being on the Werewolf Island, etc). So none of those banters should trigger anywhere else.

There are some banters that are just triggered by being in a common type of area (check for being in a forest, check for outdoors at night, etc). There are really very few that are open and can run at anytime.

So it sounds like either the conditions are being ignored (I doubt the game is doing this), or something else is causing this dialog to trigger. I have know I idea at this point what could cause it.

For the next version of BG1NPC, I will see about adding a check into each dialog to make sure that the Global for BG1 is verified before the dialog triggers. However, that just means this particular dialog will not run. If something else is causing the correct dialog to not be selected, you will then have the problem that the person just stands there but doesn't talk (the famous stutter bug).

Well, if it is a banter, then the next appropriate dialogue in the state priority chain would be looked up, provided that there is one. I assume that BG1NPC never meant to trigger dialogues in BG2.
