Ok I have bouncing back and forth to see what goes where and with what to install these mods and tweaks and fixes and add on.

111):ok this is the monster i would like to install.Can i get you pro's and Modder's to tell me if this is a good order to install or do i need to remove some stuff.I am new to this still i have been on this forum for 2 weeks now reading every thing i could get on the order to install.I am sure i have messed up somewhere.So please some help on this from anyone who knows about monster install order,..................will it work yes or no!!!!

I don't recognize half of the mods you've listed. Can you go back and put their official, FULL names?

And if you really want to be thorough, you should "surround" the names with the link to the mod's description/readme page. Check out my signature for one way to do this.

I think you're confusing Spell-50 with Level-50 ruleset in BP.

Spell-50 scales all spells to make use of high caster levels, so fireball cast by level-50 mage does 50d6 damage.

spell-50 is supposed to be part of BP (and not just a level 50 ruleset). can anyone confirm that they haven't seen it in practice?

and: i'm not proof-reading a list of 106 mods for compatibility. don't take the piss.

chances are, with that amount in together, it won't work, and i'd imagine you'd be boned before you left wacky's prom.

that's just too much material to guarantee that they won't interfere with each other.

but, having said that, if you'd like to guinea pig for us, try it out - that's the best way.

First....... of all thanks to those, that answered.I have learned, from the posts and even removed, some of the mods that was in the list.Second this isn't a post to dump alot of mods on someone, to proof read.These mods looked interresting, i got up a list and i am proofing Myself,and thought, it would be good to find someone who knows anything about some of the older ones.
And if they do could tell me from their experiance,of the mod and its compatiliblty with other mods.Just wanting to make My job easy some what.Most of the mods in this list has it's own forum.Its the older ones that don't.If no one knows about the older ones,......well i don't mine finding out the hard way.
If you know about them older ones and don't mind sharing compat,.info on them.I can't wait to hear from you.Again thank to those that posted so far.

Well, while your point is old mods and the mods that is not have forums which means it doesnt have support. Most likely they will not compatible as old weidu versions doesnt support many methods. Dont bother it. Install mods which are mentioning here in SHS as compatible as they are testing by the masses and you can get support here...

How can I go about getting this info on whats inside the mods before i install them so i can revise a new list of mods to try.I picked afew from the list before and bg:1+TotSC,ran just fine.Also thrown of bhaal ran good.But BG:2SHadows of amn ctd on me everytime,.........strange to me but maybe you modder's know the answer.I also have my old weidu log from that install also.If you don't mind could help out with my first question.

Before installing, read the Readme's, which are usually inside the mod's folder. You'll know exactly what a component does, and can make your decisions based on that.

As for the CtDs, if you can, do some test in stages. Install BG1, start a new character, go a little bit into the game, is everything OK? If so, install TotSC, start a new character, etc. BG2 etc. ToB etc. Otherwise, you might have a bad installation - file(s) missing/corrupted/whatever - and this will affect everything else.

If you get everything clear, then try the MegaInstall again.

n00bie warning: your save games are nearly useless when you do a lot of installing/reinstalling, due to text strings getting messed us. Either ignore everything written above and force your way thru playing with your current installation, or be prepared to reinstall Afresh, and start the game anew.

Unfinished Business has a couple of incompatibilities with the BG2 Fixpack... don't install Restored Minor Dialogues.

Not a dumb question. Trouble is, it'll be hard to test the mods, because how do you test something like Reign of Terror, which is a huge mod?

Would be better to read the forum threads, especially the ones that have been stickied, about a mod's compatiability. Make sure to search first if you do find a problem: there's always some bug or quirk that exists, someone will have posted about it already - and some of us actually post solutions!

Feel free to 'bother' us anytime - just be sure to do your homework first. There's a lot of info to go thru on MegaInstalling. Takes time, but worth the effort.
