Alright, so what the heck is going on! I was playing today and ran into this guy named Kuriosan or something like that, and he demanded for me to hand over my Celestial Fury. I said no, so he attacked and I got crushed... and crushed... and crushed... etc.
What the heck is this guy? He's practically impossible! When I enter the area, he is hasted, has spell turning, then mirror images and pro. magical weapons immediately, followed by a quick cast Death Fog then rushes my spell casters and starts swinging away at like 7 attacks per round! Plus, he seems to have some acid, fire, cold, something damage with his weapon, cause my stoneskined/ironskined spell casters still take damage when he swings. Plus, he can automatically slow people and hit others with a special Melf's acid arrow!!!! :wall:
Why is he in the game now (I have mods, see below) and is there any way to defeat him or must I just give away my great katana because some jerk thought that it would be smart to mod that in?
Sorry if the spelling or grammar are tough to follow, I'm really upset (fought him like 12 times).

give away my great katana because some jerk thought that it would be smart to mod that in?

Heh.
Well, I've managed to kill him somehow but don't remember how exactly since it was quite time ago. Difficult nasty cheater he is actually.
He comes only if you have Fury or Malakar (katana from Spellhold's maze) equipped and you're outdoors.

If you don't like him then why don't you uninstall him? It will solve the whole problem.

Well, thanks for letting me know about all of that. I actually got a bunch of specific spells memorized to try and fight the guy, swung over to Umar Hills to buy normal weapons, then headed back to the Docks (thats where he showed up the first time) and he is no longer attacking me. Now I realize that I have to have the Fury equipped to get him to bite. Good luck to me huh.

I don't want to uninstall him, I want to beat everything that I can. I'll just be super pissed about how strong he is when I fight him.

LMAO, he is tuff.

another tactic is a magical bow or crossbow with normal arrows or bolts, that work wonders too. Set summons on him and attack him from a distance with the normal arrows or bolts. just make sure to have acid protection.

you know, there are srolls of protection from acid in the temple of Helm. I protected my sorc with them, and about 20 minutes walked around, dispelling his buffs. After that, party finished him quickly.

I managed to beat him (he ran out of protection spells and just tried to run in and out of a nearby house) and got his really sick weapons. Probably won't use the sword (sell it for the hefty amount) since it is way to powerful!
Thanks for all the information.

well is thinking of the Kuroisan who appeared as part of the old BP (it was a TS alteration) that made him drop a version of the Dakkon Zerth blade. this version of the blade upgraded as its owner did - which is good, even if it ended up ridiculously overpowered - but it did so by overwriting the override script of the character who was wielding it. no problem if it was only carried by CHARNAME; instant romance-death (and NPC-storyline-death, more broadly) if wielded by an NPC.

this doesn't happen any more in BP-weidu; i don't even know if it still happens in TS-weidu - altho if it did, the solution is pretty obvious.

*Digs into TS folder* Looks like yes... Hell, I'll have to check every (eek!) file in NEJ before playing it...
Great thanks for warning, seanas.

no problem with the warning but, umm, can we keep the hate down? you can hardly hate someone if you play their mods; the fact that they doesn't necessarily code the way you might like them to code doesn't mean that flaming (even reasonably mild flaming) is called for.

there are lots of mods that i genuinely despise (no names, no pack drills) but that doesn't mean that i hold any animus to their creators, so umm, it'd be nice if you could extend the same courtesy.

that may well be true, but it doesn't help ppl doing mega-installs (who will be using TS-BP, rather than TS, and who shouldnt under any circumstances be installing anything other than the BG2 Fixpack). hopefully it's something that will be included in a future TS-BP release.

Maybe I'm in the dark, but what would be wrong in appending baldur/baldur25.bcs instead of killing cre's scripts?
