Just as normal, edit baldur.ini and add Debug Mode=1 under the [Program Options]. Then, in game, press Ctrl+Space, which will open up an input bar at the bottom where you can type in your various CLUAConsole commands. Do a standard search engine lookup for the Baldur's Gate II codes. However, note that if you want to warp to areas, you'll have to check http://www.shsforums...showtopic=23374 for the conversion between names. Some items and creatures might also have their names changed if you wanted to use CreateCreature() and CreateItem().Is it possible to use cheats with BGT? IF so how?
Thanks in advance,
Tony

Were you editing the baldur.ini using Windows Vista, without the User Account Control off, if so you just wrote the file into your document files.This doesn't work for me, I can't open the console.

So turn it off. Another problem can be if you wrote the line-'Debug Mode=1' to the wrong line and so it's not in the [Program Options].

If I turn the account control off my baldurs gate installation won't recognise the BGT installation and I can't find any of my saved games.

So you were using vista...If I turn the account control off my baldurs gate installation won't recognize the BGT installation and I can't find any of my saved games.
The cure for the problem will be found in the editing the baldur.ini , so turn the UAC off and open the baldur.ini and find the lines; Alias
[Alias] HD0:=C:\{game directory}\BGII\ CD1:=C:\{game directory}\BGII\CD1\ CD2:=C:\{game directory}\BGII\CD2\;C:\{game directory}\BGII\CD2\ CD3:=C:\{game directory}\BGII\CD3\ CD4:=C:\{game directory}\BGII\CD4\ CD5:=C:\{game directory}\BGII\CD5\And make sure that they point to the right directory, when the UAC is off.
That's assuming of course that you have installed to on to the C drive...
And you might need to start the game from the bgmain.exe, not from the regular baldur.exe

BGII uses exactly the same commands and cheats as BGI. CreateItem/CreateCreature both work, StartStore still crashes, ect. All that changed was filenames.
This is not true. The very nice Hans() cheat, for example, works in BG1 but not BG2. Same goes for Ctrl-C to advance the chapter... though there is a large overlap.

Yeah, Hans() was unquestionably better than Ctrl-J. I miss Hans().
