The fact that they seem to think that is funny only furthers my utter loathing toward the general myspace community. It just proves some people really are pathetic little worms who should never be let near computer. The internet as a whole would be a much nicer place I think if people didn't have anonymity, I suspect that sort slime had to show their face to make that kind of comment they would keep their worthless mouths shut.

Lol dont really have anything to say to the topic but to the post of the dude who said we make chicks only to beat off to... i find that a bit odd dont you all? Cause if thats the case, thats what porn is for... XXX Movies And everything else in that catagory, i make chicks because i thinks its more fun to play em and theirs just alot more mods out their for em but thats my case... And to add to the topic i guess............

Oh, well I'm sorry, no need to be rude though Sinharvest, everyone here goes off topic once and awhile in case you never noticed (aka, the bioshock discussion not too long ago..)

On topic: Dont get all worked up about those guys, they dont have anything better to do anyways. Playing as the opposite sex is perfectly ok, maybe some kids like them are still used to playing only as men because it seems more masculine to them? I dont know...

14 is a fun age, when you got some maturity to it. A mature 14 year old could respond the same way, but add a little kidding emphasis to it to show he's just playing around. Not just post something to be an ass.

Especially about somebody's work of all things.

It's ok Sin, i can understand that. I get a lot of bad comments about me being so young all the time, though I always try to me as mature as possible.

Thats all very true, and like i said, around this age, i guess we're used to playing with characters that are the same sex as ourselves? Thats how i see it anyways. Notice how most of my characters are female, because thats what i feel more comfortable with right now. My cousin plays games like Halo and stuff, all with male lead characters, and he hates playing as girls in other games, maybe because he feels comfortable with that, just like those dorks on Myspace

Lol well Im a guy to state things lol, if no body caught that and really oblivion is the first time EVER ive played as a chick, well besides fightin games like Soul Calibur lol but im talkin about rpgs and yeah same way i try to act as mature as i can be but not TO mature that would just be pushin it lol

Since everyone ignored my little complaint *flashes moderator badge* I'll join in.

I play male characters myself, mostly because I get too...distracted while playing females . Actually, when I was a kid (twenties) the only games with a female character was the original Metroid, so its become more of a habit for me to play as males, just because I'm used to it. (Although Tomb Raider is an exception!)

Ive always played as both male and female, but female just seems more fun to me (tomb raider was pretty cool then too)
Final fantasy is a different case though, since there are both male and female main characters, but the males look kinda...feminine

Lol sorry. When I hear/read comments like that directed at people I know (especially if they are my friends), I tend to get worked up. Especially when I'm tired.

Yea and I bet you know all about beating off don't you? With all those raging boy hormones of yours. Trust me when I say that there are much better ways to get the sexual need accomplished than simply playing a female character in a video game.

I'd also expect that the main reason is more so due to the fact that people just don't want to always play as the burly male hero/villian type. Or that they want to break the whole 'women can't be blah blah cause they are women' cliche. Sorta like in the old days when Metroid broke that thinking with a Female bounty hunter.

Oh, and a word of advice: Confidence and Maturity. Not only do the ladies love it, but the guys respect it. Well, guys with a good head on their shoulder anyway.

Yep. Took me a bit to get the wording right though. Being Mature and having witty comebacks is sort of an art in itself. Especially when not trying to just seem like an ass.

As for Lady V. It could be awhile before see returns. She is either hiding or taking a big break, like she did earlier in the thread where she didn't post for a few months. We'll just have to wait and see.
