Hey,

This is my first post in this forum, hope I'm a stayer :)

Anyway, I just wanted to point out a couple of things about Planar Sphere Mod. Before I start making critiques, let me say first that I really, really enjoyed it. Especially when the characters started making references to the real world(a demon saying to get it over with b/c he had to do community service, what a laugh).

However, I noticed some bugs(or just my personal opinions) that could be improved on.

Note first that I have Unfinished Business installed and that's the only mod I have so far.
1) At the council of six building during the main quest, the boss only dropped scrolls, and did not drop the key, which made me stuck in the building. I had to use shadowkeeper to get it.
2) Is it just me or is the boss(the one in the council of six, not the sorceror) WAY too hard? I tried him on medium and the guy just blew up my party in a snap, that is considering if I even get past the knights, the harpy, and the globes. After trying a million times and not even coming close to winning, I decided I'm tired of getting my butt wiped and ctrl-Yed my way outta there.   Maybe I should have leveled my party up more(they were at lvl 15 on avg). The cowled wizard at the Promenade Inn was pretty hard too, with their combined comet attacks, and because I can't make much of a fight back because of so many non-enemy characters in the way(no horrid wilting and the like) it's pretty hard to do anything. Of course, it could just be due to that my game has a bug that let's me use dragon's breath, but the spell does nothing, no damage, no buffet, nada. Except the special effect of having a dragon's head appearing.
3) After defeating the Sorceror(which was hard too, but the readme warned me about it) and talking to Belle, I'm assuming Belle was supposed to teleport into the map room, since she said that if I want to talk to her she'll be studying that "map" I have. Problem is I couldn't find her there, or anywhere. So I just cheated and used "createCreature". Lucky me that I guessed Belle would have the code "psBelle" on the first try. I'm no modder, but I believe a easy way to solve this is to just have two Belle characters who look identical and both named "Belle" with different character codes. One of them would be in the map room and the other would be the one that talks to you and then teleports away. That way wouldn't it reduce the chance of Belle not appearing?
4) This isn't much of a big deal of a bug, but I usually tend to keep the Guardian Golem at the entrance of the planar sphere since that's where all the enemies pop up. However once the academy got started the Guardian Golem disappeared. It reappeared later when I finished the main quest.

And the rest isn't really "bugs" but things I noticed that weren't done yet.

5) The Professor and his assistant were trying to open a portal, but apparently it killed the assistant. And then the dialogue popped out saying that BOTH the professor and the assistant "died", but the professor was still there. It then states that the next version will contain the professor/assistant quest, in which we found out their ultimate fate.
6) I made Teos apologize to Belle, and when Belle decided to fry his butt anyways I told her to put a lid over it. She then told me that she would if I do her a "favor". I don't know what this "favor" is, but I'm assuming it's a sexual one   :whistling: , since she said she "likes a man who's in charge". But when I talked to her I got the dialogue that this part wasn't done yet. Problem is that now everytime I talk to her I get that dialgue instead of "I haven't recieved any orders from above yet". So does that mean she can't give me any quests later on?

But overall, besides the bugs, this is very enjoyable, with the jokes in between.

You did already notice that there is a PlanarSphereMod26c that should fix some problems, you could give it a try and report at the topic and see if they got all of them, thanks.

Nope, but I realized that I was actually using b insetead of a, not that it changes much. I installed 2.6c but the result for 6) is still the same. But I just went back to an earlier save and solved the problem by turning Teos into a chicken. I don't know about the rest of the problems though, I didn't have a save that is right before the fight with the Sorceror.

Is it a bad sign that my own jokes make me laugh? I forgot about the community service thing. lol.

2.6c fixes the $*#)(*%&*$( Key problem.

The majority of the mod is pretty much designed for characters who have done everything except elfland and are using a variety of fairly powerful items. One problem I have is that I'm fairly bad at balancing since I tend to use a lot of mods that add nifty items so my "balancing" tends to be oriented towards that. Plus, I just plain suck at balancing. (and I like things that are absurdly hard) :whistling:

The dragons breath thing.... Hmmm... I seem to remember something from Hlid or something that Inferno left behind about Dragon's Breath not working correctly because of one of the added spells.... I can't remember offhand and since I never actually *use* dragons breath, I don't think I looked into it. It's been well over a year though, so I don't really remember....

You should try the final boss on insane difficulty :D

I swear..... I originally had a lot of trouble with Belle not appearing when she's supposed to, but I *thought* I had fixed that. The sad thing is, it's been so long that I don't even remember how I had it setup...... It should just be a MoveToPoint command, but.... Meh, I'll look at it later and see if I can't figure out why she didn't spawn where she was supposed to.

Yes, the Professor quest is unfinished and most likely will never be finished (I was playing Xenosaga at the time and the professor and his sidekick there annoyed me so much, I wanted to kill them, hence the weird scene in the mod) :P The same with Belle, that dialog was a place holder till I added something. I was going to introduce another minor quest arc for her, but in the process of adding two new area's I got burned out and quit working on the mod. So the sad fact is, those two quests are going to remain unfinished. (and continue to confuse people) The "orders" dialog is a general trigger for when she has nothing else to say.

Anyway, glad to hear you liked the mod, modders love feedback. :D

One of my favourite mods.

Well, if you *do* beat it on insane, kindly tell me, since by the time I finished testing the mod, I couldn't stand the thought of another play-through, so I never beat him on insane. :whistling:

Hell, I'm not even sure it's possible........

There was some mode that I used to use... That would let you set the difficulty without increasing the damage modifier... I forget what it was though. That way, you could have his script on insane mode, without the extra 100% damage.

Anyway, glad people like it, maybe now I'll get off my lazy but and work on my arena mod some more.....

It could have been this, the Improved Difficulty System component or not...

I have finally destroyed the wizard on the hard level and have met Belle and run into Teos again. Does anyone know the best outcome for handling belle and Teos?
