I want to know why no one liked Grobnar! What am I missing?! Is it a gnome thing!?
Seriously, if they're just going to half ass the job, they shouldn't even try. It's insulting.
Mme. Thenardier:
I used to dream that I would meet a prince
But God Almighty, have you seen what's happened since?
Master of the house? Isn't worth me spit!
`Comforter, philosopher' and lifelong sh*t!
Cunning little brain, regular Voltaire
Thinks he's quite a lover but there's not much there
What a cruel trick of nature landed me with such a louse
God knows how I've lasted living with this bastard in the house!

I finally finished NWN2:OC, after a million restarts. I played as a male and I had some fun. Then I read somewhere there is a romance. So, I'm going a long waiting for a love talk or something. I stopped talking to my companions after a while because they kept talking about the same damn things. Then it happened Elanee somewhat expressed how she felt. So we did it. And that's it. No morning after talk. NOTHING! What the hell is wrong with Bioware? They have really gone down hill in the whole roleplay dept. At least when it comes to, oh I don't know personality and romance. Casavir annoyed the hell how of me and he could have been a cardboard cut out for all the personality he showed. Plus he didn't make sense!

The romances in the NWN2 OC are disappointing with a capital DIS. Elanee is actually the better of the two, in my opinion. Neither really feels like much of a romance. You might want to try the Bishop Romance that has been modded in to the game, available here. That's good, and improves quite a bit on the original romances by having flirts added.
Personally I do like the MotB characters better than most of the OC ones. They still develop a lot faster than the BG games, but that's probably inevitable in a game that doesn't have the same duration as BG1 or BG2. Once you've decided you're aiming at fifty hours or less there isn't time for twenty love talks, flirts and interaction with other PCs without conversation filling most of your time.
Why don't people like Grobnar? This is simply anti-gnome prejudice. Their day will come, oh yes.
One note: it's not Bioware, it's Obsidian who made it.
Back from the brink.
Like RPGs? Like Star Wars? Think combining the two would be fun? Read Darths and Droids, and discover the line "Jar Jar, you're a genius".
These, in the day when heaven was falling,
The hour when earth's foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.

As for romances in NWN2: what romances? ;p
Honestly, the only *good* romance (excluding Domi's Bishop romance) in NWN2 you can find here: link.
NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition!... Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as: fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, and nice red uniforms - Oh damn!'

Gann's in particular.
"She was a fire, and I had no doubt that she had already done her share of burning." - Lord Firael Algathrin
"Most assume that all the followers of Lathander are great morning people. They're very wrong." - Tanek of Cloakwood
we are all adults playing a fantasy together, - cmorgan

"The righteous need not cower before the drumbeat of human progress. Though the song of yesterday fades into the challenge of tomorrow, God still watches and judges us. Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the streets of yesterday, but it was never the streets that were evil." - Sister Miriam Godwinson, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

I think you mean "surpasses". I was pretty eh on Safiya in MotB, though-she's as bland as romances get. Not offensive or even interesting.
Yes, that, thank you. And she's still better than "stalker" Elanee. At least Safiya is an important part of the story and not a random paladin who wants to join you regardless of your alignment.
