For me, funniest moment was when Terl (the boy who delivers bad news to Anomen all the time) showed up in middle of Beholder lair! He walked past all deadly beholders... to Anomen and... to my despair Anomen left when he heard his father tried extract revenge for Moira and got killed... he left... and we were about to fight like 10 beholders??? I was thinking "should I laugh or cry?"

My funniest moments with Terl came from the bug that has Anomen speaking the line about someone approaching over and over without Terl spawning.

The line is something like, "Wait, one approaches..." and he says something about recognizing him or being familiar.

"Wait, one approaches..." yup, it's an Elder Orb.

"Wait, one approaches..." Mindflayer.

"Wait, one approaches..." Saemon Havarian in Spellhold(this one gave me the giggle fits for a good half hour)

but the best was...

"Wait, one appraoches..." and it was a squirrel(or some other little animal) in the Umar Hills

In my most recent install, I must have mucked something up. I got to the encounter with Rylock (the poisoned guy you have to bring to the Harpers). Smack dab in the middle of the group of thugs, there stood Suna Seni, just chillin' while we were being attacked. I talked to her, and sure enough, she was convinced she was in the CC.

Had a strange one while testing Darian yesterday. I found out I messed up something in the coding for the Darian-Mazzy romance when they had their talk where they head off to sleep together... while the party was inside the zombie area of the Unseeing Eye lair.

It's possible to code around that, so the LTs don't fire in slayer form, but it would be a pain, and might introduce lag and/or stutter. Maybe he knows the woman behind the monster? :P

I had a good one this evening. I'd just got back from the Underdark and was clearing out the mindflayer nest under the Temple District when my PC got dominated. Having 19 strength, dex and con (all legit, btw...she was imported from BG after using tomes) and wielding Soul Reaver whilst wearing the boots of speed, this caused a bit of a problem as I tried desperately to move my NPCs out of her way. Needless to say, things got a bit...bloody.
Suddenly, Imoen pipes up, "Now I remember why travelling with you was always so much fun!"

Some of the NPC one-liners pop in at the funniest moments -

Nalia, in her keep, going to rescue her father: "How are we helping the less fortunate trudging around in here?"

Jaheira, in Hell: "Nature could find a home here if it were properly cleansed and balanced."

Yasraena, in Ust Natha: "This city is nothing like Menzoberranzan - all is strange to me."

Saerileth makes that elf-hater go hostile, and if you don't keep her from chopping him, she will complain if it makes your rep drop.

And, of course, there's the thing where your love interests will pipe up in Firkragg's cave. I don't really care about fixing it, though, because it's a respite after all the fighting. Still . . . a bit awkward.

I got Anomen and his little talk about our "Petty scirmages" when he brags about killing the Hillnasher giants....right after we fought our way out of the underdark. I guess the fact that we had killed two dragons, a hoard of vamps, rampages a mage stronghold, got sent to the bottom of the ocean, and have to fight a whole city of drow and other underdark creatures was not enough for the man.

I also got Nalia making comments about dungeons...in her home.

And Anomen, Xan, and Kelsey all at different points thought it was a great idea to love talk me when we entered the Shadow dragon's room.

Anomen and Kelsey also decided to fight over me....right in front of a hoard of beholders. (I was just going "Uh...boys not a good time" *points*)

I have more but I think that is enough for now.
Steel is my body, fire is my blood.
I've created over a thousand blades
Unknown to death.
Nor known to life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons.
Yet, those hands will never hold anything.
So as i pray, "Unlimited Blade Works."--Archer from Fate/Stay Night

Yeah, I got the Hillgnasher Giants one right as we were trying to rescue Amber, in the middle of melee. Everybody in the party was seriously dented, and even the PC was down below 30% hit points. Minsc was down to single digits. My reaction to it was "If you're bored, we could use some help over here!"

Yeah I know what you all mean about Kivan's happy talk. Heck in my BGI game we were in this battle, I forget which, and Ajantis got charmed. He started attacking Xan. Killed the poor guy in one hit. The second that happens, what the Hells do I hear!?

"That was a noble deed."

And then I was like, screw you, Kivan, okay!? Screw you!

Oh, man, that is just too funny.

But in Amaurea's case, it was a noble deed. Haldamir doesn't have ToB content, and I haven't gotten around to putting in the Fate Spirit bit that would send him home. So he'd just stand around the Pocket Plane forever... or until it was destroyed. He'd really prefer a quick death.

As for Angelo, he never did get the hang of timing. My favourite moment was when he asked me to be his lover in the middle of the Shade Lord dungeon. Perhaps the proximity of the dragon in the next room that made him feel that it was a now or never moment...

Speaking of weirdness, I think its kinda weird that I thought it proper to have my NPCs actually confess their feelings while in Hell... as in, deliberately programmed to be that way (ie just after being "killed" by Irenicus at the Tree of Life)

The first few times I played BG2, after Valen tells the party to come to the graveyard district, about 1500 of Bayle's nephews approached me. I swear I thought it was some spoof of a horror movie, what with those hideous yellow outfits (who the hell was the fashion designer for the commoners in BG?)

Lol, you know what this makes me think of ? Matrix... Valen (Neo) vs Brus (Smith)! The Ultimate Showdown... mod idea anyone? (Berelinde? :) )

That would be the words of an evil alinged npc. Poor Immy must had turned to evil when we were not looking.

Oh, and there was this one time in the sewers. I was doing the Unseeing Eye quest, and I was somewhere near the cursed city. Anyways all of these shadow things came out and attacked us. Totally wasnt suspecting it. Xan, Minsc, and Anomen died. Anyways, I had Aerie raise them. Except Anomen. Because I ran out of spells. He hasd to wait til I got out of there. Anyway, I was totally worried that the same thing would happen with Xan that sometimes does with the default romances, you know getting turned off when the character dies. But I didn't have to worry for long--the INSTANT we raised Xan he started having a lovetalk with CHARNAME. Didn't even skip a beat. So here he is, at one HP and he just start....jeez. Timing, Xan, ever heard of timing?

These are so funny.

In my party, Aerie has the worst timing, although I give her ups for trying to lighten the mood... in an Aerie-like way.

One time, we were at the Druid Grove, doing the first Trademeet quest. Jaheria had challenged Faldorn in that stadium thing. Me and the other 4 were standing around the pit, wathcing Jaheria get creamed. Suddenly Aerie decides that now is a great time to talk about how sad life is... without wings.

She also did the same thing right in front of the Shadow Dragon(Umar Hills quest). I guess she saw the dragon's huge wings and it made her homesick... or... something.

There are certain areas not flagged as dungeons for some reason - the shadow dragon lair and the Amaunator temple in the Unseeing Eye quest are two of these.
In a recent runthrough I was romancing Angelo and playing the Viconia friendship and they both decided they needed to chat when poor Amaunator was trying to send his followers to their eternal rest after getting the rod back. They also both wanted to talk the second we'd left the Planar Sphere and poor Lavok was dying on the ground. I mean, guys, timing, you know?
As for the shadow dragon lair, I've had a yochlol show up for Vicona and Degarden turn up to speak to Edwina. We've got the wardstone, but why is it the dragon never sees them, huh? <_<
