Obviously you'd want a soldier/guardian here. I'd think an 8/12 split works really well.

My only real question here is this: Is armor worth it? Can some of the better armors in this game help a soldier.guardian build more than jedi robes?

Oh, squiggly line in my eye fluid. I see you lurking there on the periphery of my vision. But when I try to look at you, you scurry away. Are you shy, squiggly line? Why only when I ignore you, do you return to the center of my eye? Oh, squiggly line, it's alright, you are forgiven.

I would say no. The problem is that armour interferes with several Force Powers, most significantly with the Force Speed chain. If you take that to the end with Master Speed, it will increase your defence by four and give you three attacks per round (one is normal, Knight Speed gets you two). There are others that are really useful for a "warrior" type jedi that are prevented by the use of armour too, particularly the Force Power chain. And right at the end of the game there's a set of robes available that are better than nearly any armour.

Where armour does better is with a Dark-side character who emphasises combat force powers. Force Lightning isn't prevented in any way by armour, so a character who specialises in these and not in personal enhancement can wear armour without any real disadvantages.

Back from the brink.

Like RPGs? Like Star Wars? Think combining the two would be fun? Read Darths and Droids, and discover the line "Jar Jar, you're a genius".

These, in the day when heaven was falling,
The hour when earth's foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.

Another question aboput a combat god: Is it possible to have a better combatant as a Socundrel/Guardian than Soldier? For this to work, I'd theorize holding off quite a few levels as a Scoundrel (maybe even only going to level 2) for the defensive bonus, and then all levels as a Soldier.

a scoundrel/guardian isnt a bad idea, but u cannot make him an armored jedi. scoundrels only start with light armor proficency.

an armored jedi would probably work, but i just dont like them. i have heard good things and bad about them, but i personally just think a jedi in armor is wrong.

my favorite armour is the heavy exoskeleton, and thats medium armor. maybe a scout/guardian in armor would work for u, ya armored freak!!!
