I have tried to run an un moded version of iwd2 on win xp and cant getit to work
I mean it loads and plays for a random amount of time before crashing.
Never got out of the starting town, cos of crashes.

are there any messages when it crashes? when does it happen?
maybe some other program is causing it to crash to desktop. are you having problems with other games, like bg2?
the most common issue is involving graphics,but if you could play for a while, that might not be it. have you tried altering graphic settings in configuration?
