Using BGT 1.06, no mods:

Class description of monk states that level 5 provides immunity to all diseases. However, my level 5 monk received a disease from a ghast. Although I did not have any stats reduced by this disease, the disease icon appeared on the character portrait. I know the Cavalier's poison immunity works properly as they never get poisoned (and never get the poison icon on their portrait). I don't think this particular disease caused stat drain, however, as two other members of my party were diseased by the ghast as well and didn't display any stat drains to go along with their disease icons. I suspect that this disease simply applies a circumstance penalty while in effect, so the presence of the icon means the immunity isn't functioning properly.

Has anyone looked at this? I'm about to install EasyTutu to see if this problem exists there as well.

I don't think this is a BGT issue, but a BG2 issue. Did you install the FixPack?

The relevant monk ability SPCL814.SPL does not prevent the Disease icon, but does provide immunity to the Disease effect. Check with the BG2Fixpack team on this issue.
