Okay. I only want to install something as a last resort as I am using my clean install for my own mod at the mo. Does anyone have this mod installed who can send me these icons before I have to do things myself?

If you have the space and have already the full install+patch, you can actually copy the game folder to a different directory and after you have edited the baldur.ini's [Alias] headings... you can install every mod without effecting the original game at all. It also helps to know that you need only to actually change just the HD0: -line, so you don't need the CD2, CD3, CD4 or CD5 directories in the copied directory, making the space requirement only about 1-1.5 Gigabits. I currently have about 5 of them.

i would ask what technique you use to convert the "cast" icons into "scroll/spellbook", obviously its something more then just puting the sepia filter on. if i would want to mimic this i would propably "color/hue" fill, and have two layers with reduced transparence, and then maybe play a bit with contrast.
i dont directly need "scroll/spellbook" at the moment as every spells of my (so far) are innate and so i use only "cast" icons with colors and all that. but seining how that "scrolish" one are popular makes me think that maybe i should change it. or at least give the players a choice which one they want to use O_o
