I'm having problems with BP-BGT-Worldmap as well. Things are not where they're supposed to be. I go west out of the zone south of Gorion's deathplace, and end up at Firewine Bridge. Is there a way I could switch back to the BGT worldmap easily?

Here's my install order. I tried to keep it fairly simple, but I'm getting really frustrated. I think I'd pay money at this point to download a BGT compilation with lots of added content mods already installed and working.

Install BG1 and Tales of the Sword Coast
BGTalesUK5512.exe (Patch for BG1)
Install BG2 and Throne of Bhaal
BGII-ThroneofBhaal_Patch_26498_ENGLISH.exe
BGT106_Install.rar
BG2_Fixpack-v6.exe
SoSv1.13.rar
SoBHv231FullWM7.rar
CtBv1.11.rar
BP_BGT_Worldmap_v7_0_a.rar
BPv177a.rar
Weimer-ItemUpgrade-v37.exe
CespyAudioV1.zip
BG1NPC-v16.exe
BGTTweak_v7
BG2_Tweaks-v6.exe
Infinity Cracker to remove CD check
widescreen-v1.exe

Any suggestions or methods for trying to fix my worldmap would be most welcome...

I think there is an issue with the BP-BGT Worldmap modification. While I can't confirm since I don't have your exact installation order to test with, your worldmap.wmp crashes the game completely on my system. I have to replace your saved game worldmap with a BGT worldmap to allow me to use the worldmap. Replacing with a Worldmap modification worldmap.wmp also crashes the system.

This is quite odd. I've just completed a re-installation with the latest versions of mods and the attached is what my screenshots look like if I install the "Revised" component of WM. All locations are where they belong. My WeiDU log is attached as well.

What happens if you remove the Widescreen Mod and the CD Crack?

Nope, didn't change anything. If I do the install again and leave out BP and BPWorldmap, will I be able to reach all the new places in SOS, etc. with the default BGT map? Is there a way to revert to that without having to reinstall everything?

I don't see anything with your mods that should be causing your problem, unless it is something to do with your BG1 Install. You did the custom install with all the boxes checked on BG1, correct? Anyway, you could try re-installing and see if it works better. Try installing in the order I've listed above by numbering. With the Worldmap, open the .tp2 and do a CTRL F and look for the "Flag" component and un-comment it so you can try installing the worldmap with the Flag component, and then start a new game. The flag component will cause all of the areas in your game to appear on your map, and you can try testing jumping around from area to area on your map to make sure it works. If it does, uninstall the worldmap, re-comment that component in the .tp2 and re-install the worldmap, then go ahead and install your widescreen mod and the crack at the end of the installation and start a new game. This "should" get you up and running.

Well, I just did the reinstall in the order you suggested, and that fixed the problem. I can't tell you how grateful I am for your assistance... Thank you very much.
Let me also add that though BG2 is one of my favorite games of all time, you modders have really gone 'above and beyond' in making this ancient engine sit up and beg. Your love of the game and willingness to share your expertise is greatly appreciated by myself and all the others who treasure an incredible story and gameplay over a mundane game shored up with fancy 3D graphics.

Maybe I'll get a 30" monitor for Christmas and then I can install the Widescreen Mod too instead of staying on this old CRT 21" Visionmaster :shifty:

Glad the re-install worked for you.

Isn't it a TV, not a monitor?... meaning that the resolution that is smaller than my 24" 1920x1200. :P
(max for 30" monitor is 2560x1600, with a price that I could buy three or four x24" monitors)

Nope, the Dell 3008WFP. It's 2560x1600... The Widescreen mod is working perfectly.

I just built this new box for my birthday. Core i7 965, 4Gb RAM, 4870x2, and the 3008WFP. It's simply incredible. Oblivion with Qarl's and various other visual improvement mods was a great deal of fun, but I'm glad to go back to Baldur's Gate. (Though Angband on a 30" was a lot of fun as well. You have to turn your head to look at the other side of the dungeon.) I have high hopes for Dragon Age though. They say it'll be BG's spiritual sucessor, but we'll have to wait and see.

Oh, that last bit should begin "My wife just let me build this new box for my birthday..."
