So, I played BG1 + 2 a long time ago, and recently got the urge to play them again. After some browsing of the internet while waiting for my copy to arrive from Amazon, I found this website and the mods, and decided to try modding the game.

I have installed Baldurs Gate 1, Tales of the Sword Coast, Baldurs Gate 2, and Throne of Bhaal, and then the official Patch for ToB. My Operating System is Windows Vista.
The mods I used, and the order I installed them in, is as follows:
  • G3 BGS Fixpack v.7
  • SoS v1.13
  • BGT106
  • DSotSC v215
  • NToSC v170a
  • NToSC v171
  • BoneHill v240
  • BoneHill v245
  • BP v177a
  • BP_BGT_Worldmap v7.1
  • BoneHill WM v7
Install went fine, untill I got to the Big Picture, whilst trying to install the first component I recieved an error saying something about C6BODHI.CRE failing to copy, because of string something. I searched the forums, but couldn't find anything about this anywhere.
All other elements of BP installed fine, as did the World Map mod.

I decided to try out the result anyway. I started a new game from the start of BG1, however the game crashes to desktop whenever I try and view the details of Large shields, whenever I try and equip a 2-handed sword, or equip a battle axe in my off hand. There may be other crashes too, however I have not explored further than Candlekeep inn so far.

Can anyone suggest what I did wrong, and how to fix it?

With those mods, I would suggest to using the BWP, as it comes with it's own fixpack that will fix the problems you are having.

That's right. For BP we use Miloch's Resource Fixer and many fixes from Steve.

And for BGT take the recent WIP version from here:

Last, with the recent modversions you don't need the "BoneHill WM v7" anymore.

A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.
