Hi all,

here is my new MEGA Install i'm currently using in my next playthrough. I'll post BUGS and ISSUES I may find in this very topic and post links to/from other forums to this thread as well.

Any component DID install WITHOUT any issue. BGSpawn working smoothly so far (this makes me very happy :whistling: ).

Good Aligned and Continuous Party played (Imoen, Jaheira, Minsc, Ajantis and Dynaheir in BG1&BG2 part of the game).

Just discovered a possible "conceptual incompatibility" between (BGT?) or vanilla BG1 behaviour and Stone of Askavar Mod.

The mod start after u clear the Nashkel Mines and wants u to go in Baldur's Gate (Blushing Mermaid). But at that time u are allowed to enter BG city. I don't remember if it is something related to vanilla BG1 or BGT behaviour, anyway as for now, u need to complete it only AFTER u clear the Cloackwood Mines which is not the aim of the mod afaik,

It's default BG1 behaviour that you can't go into the city of Baldur's Gate at that time because of the bandit threat, so I would say that the mod should take that into account(in the levels of the enemies etc.). So there shouldn't be anything wrong with that... :unsure:

Is there a time limit or something you need to get there fast? Or is it that you just need to get there to start the mod off? You can play BG1 without going to the Blushing Mermaid so it might be put there to 'make' sure to go into the Blushing Mermaid and kickoff the mod.

Ahh, not really, as you get killed in 10 days after chapter 6 :unsure: (well, after you already return to BG from Candlekeep after the book quest), if you don't go to the second floor.(spoilers) But that's in chapter 6. :lol:

BUG (still...i had the very same in my installation of 1 year ago) for the Raise Dead scroll. It targets a wrong actor (living instead of dead). Not sure which mods is doing that anyway ...

I believe is the component and restoring a backup from before BG1UB (it didn't make a backup for my game) or even copy paste from a vanilla install will be fine with no messy strings. Or you can edit in NI to target Dead Actor rather than Living Actor.

There has been some dispute if it is BG1UB that causes it, however it easy to fix with no repercussions.

That's why ... if u killed him BEFORE starting the quest u never will be able to complete it (i killed him some time before chapter 3 anyway. Later in the game i started the quest in the Vestibule, spoke with Bran, killed Ranthis and then spoke to Bran again and then Keldar in the temple).
May be it's worth to set the variable after u spoke with Keldar in the Temple .. ?

The chance to bring u back won't fire (Pelltar continue saying something like: Gelpas won't let me go if i didn't discover everything). I had to set manually to 6 a "blablablaQuest" variable to trigger Fabio to leave the party and me coming back to the Temple of Lathander.

There seems to be an existing and continuing issue with getting the cutscene to fire in Pelltars study/castle abode if you have the note that references the Glorious Hand. You need that global that is set by it to be able to talk to Ravella to find Bomarc. I'll look at a different way to get that to trigger on my next play through.
