Many thanks to the translators for making this traified version possible. If anyone cares to have translations added in additional languages please see the Vault/Language/English/Setup.tra & Vault_Trans_Pack_Rev1.rar which contains all files that need translation.

Only to let you know, that we have found these four files in the override directory after biffing:

NO GUILSOP.BAM
NO IBOOTFOX.BAM
NO ICROWN.BAM
NO IHAT01.BAM
All filenames have a space in it.

this may sound rather silly, but does someone have a walkthrough for it, since i simply cant find that book and i cant seem to advance with the story otherwise.

heres what i did so far.
my book got stolen on wyverns crossing, i tracked zernan (was it?) to beregost and again near the inn in nashkell where some message he dropped some paper indicating that he meets his employers in the carnival where i killed a bunch of goblins with lots of high level spells...still no sign of the book however
so, do i have to use createitem or what?

A German gamer reported the following:

With "The Vault" I've a misspelled dialogue with the ghost of Ulcaster.
If I talk with him more then once (that must be do), he said the following:
"What it is with these mines? You cleared it of those little dogs weeks ago and now we've got a spider infestation!"
I think I should get this dialogue from someone in Nashkell...

I've already updated all of the traified translations in my local package from the portion of @164 that contains it. Once I finish playing through to check for other bugs I'll upload a new version. Players just need to translate the string in the patch until then.

I too am having trouble finding Zernan.
If I refuse to give him the book, he steals it but there is no ambush, he just sits there. If I give him the book he leaves and I go to Candlekeep, meet Nandin, and he says to go find Zhurlong.
I go to Beregost, but Zhurlong has no relevant dialogue, and I can't find Zernan there.

Any suggestions?

BTW if you let Zernan steal the book, he sits there and you can kill him. He's carrying the note, but not the book, and if you do this there is no Nandin, and no Mysterious Man.

EDIT: I should also add that you can present the wrong book at Candlekeep. There are two "I have the book you want" options. They look identical but the first fails and the second succeeds.

Can you post your WeiDU log please?


EDIT: Deleted my WeiDu log.
It seems that there are several ways to talk to Zernan initially. I haven't solved what happens when you give him the book and Nandin appears at Candlekeep.
I did however manage to hit upon the exact conversational path that lead to Zernan stealing the book AND getting 3000 xp AND him disappearing in an ambush just outside BG.
When this happens, you can track him down at FAI and Nashkell Inn.
I think for the next mod revision you need to check out the initial conversation tree. It doesn't seem to fire properly in all cases.

EDIT: Why do these "Vault Sentries appear every time someone hits with the Vampire sword?
