So I finished Edwin's Nether Scroll quest and he was transformed back into a man... Or at least it seemed so judging by his avatar. However, when I force-talked to him later, his name showed up as Edwina and I called him as such. It now shows his paperdoll as a woman. So... Basically Edwin never turned back into a man.
Is there any way to fix this?

Maybe it caused second dialogue. Example, (I had the same thing) when I was walking towards Atkatla, right after Drizzt, I encountered 'our old friend' - Deg. At the same time near the corner spawned Dermin (Jaheira's quest). Firstly was Deg's dialogue, and then he casted the spell. Right in mid-casting Dermin started to talk to Jae, and it ended quite before the transformation.
So, crossover dialogue could be the cause of this problem. Try visiting other areas, where only one character can spawn. Expect this, I dunno. i need more details.

I was in the temple to Amaunator during the Cult of the Unseeing Eye quest, and Edwin's rival spawned during the battle with the hate-entity and had his little talk with Edwina. He showed up again when I was back in the temple to finish the quest, and transformed Edwina back into Edwin -- though I think the only transformation that occurred was changing his avatar back to its original form. We started fighting, I ran outside to heal, ran back in and there was a blue circle under the mage, meaning he wasn't hostile anymore -- probably should have noticed that something was wrong, but I shrugged and killed him anyway. After his death, the normal end-quest dialogue ran, but there was nothing in it about the romance, which was strange since he'd already asked for my hair, told me he'd tell my why after this guy was taken care of, etc. I talk to him a fair deal later, an Edwina dialogue runs, and I notice that he hasn't changed back from his female form. I'm not sure if it had always been like this and I was just so used to the female voice set that I didn't notice, or if this dialogue triggered him to turn back into a girl.
No Edwin-initiated talks have been triggered since Degardan came to kill him.
I, like an idiot, STILL only quicksave after all these times playing the game, so there's no way I can go back to before the battle without essentially restarting my game. It'll be cool if there's some other way to fix this, but no matter how much I love Edwin, he's not worth playing through all the quests in Athkala again just to romance ;P Too bad this also renders him equal to a lifeless, player-made NPC though ):
