ok so here's the thing. how about adding the sword of chaos +2 to sarevok's corpse after the final battle in BG1? i mean now it's great to loot everything from angelo, tazok, and u know continue on to the expansion content with the loot. but his sword is lacking. now i'm heading off to werewolf island/durlag's tower and i kinda feel like i didn't receive any reward from the final battle because to me, his sword symbolizes the final confrontation. and u no, once i reach BG2, the genie gonna give me the sword of chaos even though i never actually possessed it or wield it. i think adding the sword would give an even more consistent experience and continuity and it would definitely satisfy players who have their characters specialized in Large Swords. i hope the project leader of bgt would consider doing that. big thanks to everyone who is involved in making this mod and i apologize if i make any grammar mistakes or errors, i'm sorry because english isn't my native language.

Sounds like an interesting idea for a micro-mod. If someone is willing to take it, it would probably best be a separate mod. That is because it would require changing Malaaq's quest in Shadows of Amn. This is something that BGT definitely won't touch and BGT Tweak won't get involved with either.

correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think it would require changing the genie's quest. what i mean is basically adding a copy of the sword to sarevok in BG1 that one can pick up. then as he or she moves on to BG2 by talking to Belt, the sword like everything else is removed from the character. then as the guy talks to the genie, he gets the sword back which is actually a different copy(the original bg2 copy of sword of chaos) so unless if someone wants the exact same copy of the sword, i don't think anything from bg2 has to be changed. i might be wrong but i think this works.

You just drop the sword to Sarevok's inventory, not on his corpse. So actually...

Oh, sorry, I can't read. Yeah, in the non-WeiDU version of BGT, they gave Sarevok the Sword of Chaos +2, but I reverted it back to the BG1 standard. I guess it can be put in BGT Tweak. Sorry for my misunderstanding.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll make Sarevok wield the sword, since I remember trying in the past, and whenever he hits it crashes the game.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll make Sarevok wield the sword, since I remember trying in the past, and whenever he hits it crashes the game.

It would be bad idea, cause Sarevok is supposed to be like any other monster using it's claw attack, not a real sword. It crashes the game because of the special animation.

I think that putting the BG2 version in his inventory and droppable is a fantastic idea. Probably the reason that it crashes if Sarevok wields it is because of the 2 handed flag. The undroppable Chaos Sword he does wield is a one handed version (SW2H05) for both SAREVO and SAREVO2. I noticed that the one he does wield (even in raw BG1) does not have the 2 handed box tagged and probably is custom made for his avatar so it wouldn't crash.

Yeah, probably. I can guess you use COPY_EXISTING and REPLACE_CRE_ITEM as the two functions, so even if I wrote it, it wouldn't be any different.

Has anyone had a chance to test Jarno's mod to confirm that it doesn't crash the final battle?
