De'Arnise Hold problem : no troll

Hi,

I encounter a strange problem when going to De'Arnise Hold.

When enterring the area, the map becomes revealed. When walking by in order to kill few trolls before speaking to Nalia, there is no troll outside.
When speaking to Nalia, she tells me about trolls as usual... However, the guard usually by her side is not here (the guard that give you few fire arrows and that ask you to open the main bridge). By the way, the bridge is already opened...
Last but not least, when I enter the keep (that is also automaticaly revealed), I found no troll on the first floor. However, there are few servants, and much more : Lady Delcia and Majordomo are also in the main room. Even chests are already empty.

In fact, the keep is in the same condition as when the quest will be finished.

Well, It seems to me that a small bug (considering I finished the quest before having started it) causes all this strange behavior.

Any help allowing me to start "normally" this quest would be greatly appreciated.

Note : I did use "BiG_World_Fixpack_v7"

Why have you finished the quest before you started it? Sure the problem depends on that.

There exist a code how you can get the first de'arnise maps back, but unfortunately I don't know it. Perhaps someone else could give you the code. Otherwise reload a save-game before you have finished the quest.

Why have you finished the quest before you started it? Sure the problem depends on that.

Well it seems like i'had started the quest, but I never started it !
When I first come to De'Arnise Hold every thing is like i have finished the quest but I have never started it ! In fact, I have only speak to Nalia in the copper cornet, nothing more!

There exist a code how you can get the first de'arnise maps back, but unfortunately I don't know it. Perhaps someone else could give you the code. Otherwise reload a save-game before you have finished the quest.

Whatever the save-game I take, I have the same problem.

Is there a global variable that I can check (and change) in order to "reset" the quest ?

I finally found someone having the same problem here
The solution is CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR1300") and it works :) I guess it can help someone else.

However, when I look to the list of mods he has installed, I recognize only "G3 Tweaks" that I've installed too. But, on 11th Apr '06, it can't be the same version as me.

Moreover, if it suffices to force to move to the specific Area to correct this bug, I wonder if the problem may be in the woldmap mod (BP_BGT_Worldmap_v7_1) ?
It would be cool if someone could check this (I don't know how to do this).

We have been playing BG2 for a while now, but we seem to have encountered a bug with the game. When we enter the 1st floor inside De'Arnise Hold, all the character control buttons (like for spells and fighting) start flickering very fast and we can not click any of them anymore.

Anyone else seen this bug?

No, you have done a small installation and all is new and fine.
Normally this bug is solved and it should be fixed with the BP patches.

Can you look into your Setup-BPv177.tp2 if you have the green added line in this block:

WRITE_ASCII 0x250 ~BPPLOT~ #8 // Class (was GENSHT01)
WRITE_ASCII 0x258 ~BPLEADER~ #8 // Race (was NONE)
WRITE_ASCII 0x260 ~GENSHT01~ #8 // General (was NONE)
WRITE_ASCII 0x268 ~BPWTSIGT~ #8 // Default (was WTASIGHT)

You can open the Setup-BPv177.tp2 with a text-editor like notepad and search after one of the lines.

Normally this bug is solved and it should be fixed with the BP patches.
Can you look into your Setup-BPv177.tp2 if you have the green added line in this block:
