
New areas of CtB are not accessible

First, I'm sorry about my english (I'm french).
I installed Ctb1.11, the Fix, and the Worldmap V7.1. On my map, I can see the new areas but my problem is : I am not able to go to neither Hlondeth nor any new areas. There are no links. I tried by the City gates and by the Firkraad's zone (I'm not remember the english name), but anything chages. Of course, I can use the cluaconsole but I would prefer find an other solution. It's the first time I install CtB so I don't know if I must do something befor go to anywhere this mod add.

One of the confusing things with mods that add areas and require the worldmap is that the Worldmap mod is required to have the G3- BG2 fixpack installed. Old versions and WeiDU versions of Baldurdash won't work either, or will have problems.
Can you tell me if the first mod you installed was the fixpack? If you open a text document called WeiDU it will show you mods installed and the first one is like this:
~BG2FIXPACK/SETUP-BG2FIXPACK.TP2~ #0 #0 // BG2 Fixpack - Core Fixes
If this is not installed, even if the areas were visible you may have crashes that no one can fix or it lacks the links to travel.
For the best results,
a)Uninstall everything including the game (this is to make sure no mod files are left to get corrupted).
b)Reinstall the game and Expansion and apply the official patch= 26498
c)Dowload and install the g3-BG2 fixpack here: http://www.gibberlin..._Fixpack-v8.exe
Core fixes is the most you need although there could be other components that you would like to install. They should not be a problem.
d)Extract CtB version 1.11 into game directory. Then extract the 1.11 fixpack rar's into the directory, overwriting the old CtB) files and adding the French updates.
e)Install the CtB mod. You can then install Chores and/or Chores Fast Forward if you wish.
f)Extract and install the worldmap mod.
Please note that your current saves will not be valid after this new installation because your dialog.tlk will have changed and your Worldmap will have changed. Start a new game and there should not be any problems.

EDIT: Can you also tell me if you installed Revised or original travel times of the Worldmap mod the first time?

I would also make sure to delete the game folder after the point a), and then install the game to a non-'Program Files' Sub-folder...For the best results,

For that purpose, just ask for the WeiDU.log's content...Can you tell me if the first mod you installed was the fixpack?...
Can you also tell me if you installed Revised or ...
So, could you Radamanthe do us a favour, and open your WeiDU.log with Notepad, and copy paste the text to the reply post.
And I agree, the English doesn't have to be perfect, for it to be understandable, and Radamanthe did fine.

I remember that the BG2Fixpack was the 2nd mod I installed, just after a little fix correcting some spelling mistakes.
An other precision : I installed Worlmap after the beginning of my game. First, I installed the version 6.61, but, the map was not correct (an original area, trademarket, was missing). So, I uninstalled it and I replaced it by the version 7.1. Some problem about the map had been solved (i.e original map is now correct), but not for Hlondeth. I everytime chose the original travel times component of the worldmap mod.
I hope I won't have to uninstall all....snif, but if it's the only solution, i will do that.

I don't think these will cause problems; probably just some french text updates.
In current installations, Check the Bodies should come right after Fixpack and then add your NPC's and tweaks after CtB. I don't see anything that would mess up the worldmap in this case though.
Maybe the version 7.1 did not update the links from your saves that had version 6.61. Try starting a new game so that Worldmap can reveal the areas again when you get to the City Gates. It is worth trying a new game before reinstalling the lot

So the Sunset Mountains can be reached in your game? But you are still unable to reach Hlondeth? Can you travel to the Academy of Kuldin?
Having the area visible on the map doesn't mean that it is linked correctly. If you can't click on the area to travel or it says Destination Unreachable means the links are broken. This can only be broken in your current save, hopefully and will be corrected by the new game.
If the problem still persists, I would suggest reinstalling.

Exactly. Before I went to the Sunset Mountains, I didn't have new area on my map, and so :

If the problem still persists, I would suggest reinstalling.
I will check if a new game is a solution during the hollidays, and if not I will do that. I promise to keep you informed of the evolution.
Just a question : Can a compatibility problem with my other mod exist? And, if I had to reinstall, when do I install CtB? just after Fixpack? in last position?

About CtB in French (and more than that, about mods available in different languages) : Is there a way to compare what CtB does (move files, patch files...) in English and what it does in French ?
As an example, when using winmerge with SETUP-CTB.DEBUG in English and in French, I have not exactly the same thing : these lines are not present in the French debug file (I don't know if it's important or not) :
override/cdfp0001.g3 copied to CtB/over.bak/cdfp0001.g3, 314 bytes Copied [override/cdfp0001.g3] to [CtB/over.bak/cdfp0001.g3] (NO BACKUP MADE!)
Even more surprising, English debug says :
[CtB/Language/english/CB587DR1.TRA] has 71 translation stringsWhile French debug says that :
[CtB/Language/french/CB587DR1.TRA] has 72 translation strings
I don't know if it's important or not

OK. Install CTB right after your fixpack components. Any NPCS and tweaks should go after CtB and worldmap as the final one. There could have been something corrupting your area links and this could be probable if one of those mods is a non-WEiDU mod which will overwrite things. I don;t see anything odd in your list like that.
The Academy and Hlondeth will be revealed in City Gates and you will see them and you can travel when you try leaving the gates for the first time.

This looks like a fixpack file. In the ficpack there are two different files for the English tra and only one for French. This could be something related to G3 fixpack translations only.

I am sure it is important I just don't know the repercussionsThe different translation strings would be directly related to the .tra files in the language folder. I think Graoumf asked about that before to King Diamond, so you may try asking Graoumf what the reason is or the problems that may be presented.

As I promised, I started a new game and I keep you informed. So, when I do that, the new area are present on my map. Finally, a new game solves my problem.
