Berelinde - I take it you saw DG's posts in this thread: http://social.biowar...83297/18#591250 (the rest of the thread is just people flaming each other for 50 pages, or so it seems). He didn't know about the darkspawn in the tower.

My interpretation of the whole Ostagar thing was he knew Cailan was starting to become a problem and had in place various plans to deal with it (putting Eamon out of action being one of them), but I don't believe he was planning regicide. He could have done that a lot easier without sacrificing half of Fereldan's troops, had he so wanted. Obviously he had considered he might have to leave Cailan to die, but as DG says, didn't make the decision until the beacon was lit late. If you've read Stolen Throne then you'll know Maric tells him not to risk the entire army for one man, even if he happens to be king (Loghain leaves the battle of West Hill to find Maric after the Orlesians discover his camp - Maric is saved but the army is routed). Loghain promises Maric it won't happen again and that's the choice he makes at Ostagar.

I definitely don't find Loghain ugly, but then I'm a sucker for dark-haired, blue-eyed, hawk-nosed guys. (By contrast, I find Alistair very bland-looking). His facial animations could use some work though - they way his eyes are animated gives him too much white above the iris, which people don't usually have unless they are surprised of scared, and makes him look a little crazy. (Ser Jory has that problem too, but then he is a scaredy cat).
No accounting for taste though, I guess. ;)

Didn't read Gaider's post, and forgot about the West Hill promise. Been a bit busy modding, so not much time for reading BioWare boards. Or much of anything, really. Haven't played Awakenings for more than a couple hours since I got it. Time for playing when the mods are done.

Anyone know where the Masterpiece Slow Rune is?

It's the only part (I think) that I don't have to my runecrafting collection.

I've read a post by someone saying that it might not be in the game at all... of course I'd need someone with DA toolset skills to verify this.

Well at least I ain't the only one.

While looking around dragonagenexus I found a good looking blood dragon armor from another game. :whistling:

Yeah, the game's got a lot of bugs in it. It's almost like a Bethesda game... almost.

Amusing note if you married Anora and kept Loghain alive: Loghain pesters you in a good-natured way about when he's going to become a grandfather. :)

Has anyone else run into the bug where you can't do Sigrun personal quest if you've started the Smuggler's Run or the Law and Order quest first? Apparently her quest NPC despawns permanently if you start either quest before doing her quest.

I played Awakening twice: once I couldn't even get her through the joining, because I got out of Kal-Hirol right in time for the final battle. The second time I just sent her on her way. So no data yet.

I guess I'll just skip her quest this time then. I really hope BioWare would patch their games more quickly, but I guess collecting all the bugs Awakening has will probably take a while.

At least I managed to get the Blackblade gloves and boots in, despite them having been left out of the game.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but what exactly is the deal in terms of inventory with importing a character? From my reading around, this is what I gather:

1. The only DLC stuff that transfers is Return to Ostagar and Stone Prisoner (only thing I'd really want is the Helm of Honnleath). Oh, and the memory band which I don't have.

2. The *only* weapons and armor that will transfer is whatever your character actually has equipped. Might as well sell every other weapon and armor off as long as your NPC's can get through the final battles with what they have left, yes?

3. Everything else that is not a weapon or armor (your gold, rings, belts, potions, traps, etc. etc.) that are in your party inventory will transfer.

4. Stuff in your Warden's Keep chest won't transfer.

Am I mistaken on any of this?

Number 2 and 3 might be not quite correct: All weapons and armor in your inventory(even if you have ten daggers, seven armors) will transfer. None of your NPC's items will transfer, be it rings or swords.

I usually strip my party naked right after Archdemon dies(you have a few seconds). I leave Loghain's armor and Morrigan's original robes on, so they don't look naked in "PC charges to kill Archdemon, Loghain and Morrigan look at each other in horror/wonder" scene.

1. Officially only the RTO gear gets imported. Mad Method at DA Nexus came up with a patch though, which allows importing any DLC items that you have.

2-3. Everything in your party's inventory gets imported, plus the gear your character is currently wearing. Anything that your companions have equipped won't transfer.

4. Correct.

Thanks for the info, guys. Glad to learn before I wound up selling everything off, heh... getting pretty close to finishing my current game.

No problem. And if you bought some of those really expensive items in Origins, such as The Rose's Thorn, they'll last far into Awakening as well, so hold on to those. :)
