Sellswords: Install problem at AR0707.BCS.  Despite what says in TP2-file:

// Enge's shop, AR0707, is assigned AR0003.bcs in vanilla game. But someone might set it to AR0707.bcs, so we edit whichever script is available, thanks to Argent77 and K'aeloree:
COPY_EXISTING ~ar0707.are~ ~override~
READ_ASCII 0x94 ar0707_script

It doesn't work.

Added to AR0707.BCS:

ahahah it's just megamod fucking up stuff. Beside I've played sellswords not once, but five times and I never met any problem. The only bug I currently have in all my megamod install is in Return to Brnllaw, in the ending. But no one else seems to experience it. In fact I hope micbaldur meets the same bug so he can sort it out.

Finished Back to Brynnlaw already no any other problems encountered.

 

TDD: TDD (Ellesime dialogue-file (SUELLE2.DLG)) breaks Ninde NPC soul restoring, Saerileth NPC marriage ceremony and restoring Deheriana (Kivan Mod). Only The Queen romantic encounter (RE) works. Sad that this can't be fixed.

Can't be fixed at all? Even if we fix SUELLE2.DLG inside TDD? Even with modification to all of those mods?

Well  :whistling: actually back then i didn't mean that it can't be fixed. I meant that probably there aren't anybody capable who wants to fix it.

 

Only 10th has shown interest at fixing this but he hasn't said anything about it.

 

Planning to try do something about it though.

 

I have check that problem little and i think that RE and Saerileth/Kivan have incompability problem, TDD have nothing to do with it. But not sure about, yet.

 

But TDD breaks Ninde's restoration totally.

Wasn't really a fix just ignoring the problem by avoiding it:
Afair TDD splits some dialogue paths for Ellesime, which no other mod expects, which results in those other mods not working.

My solution was therefore:
disable TDD modification of Ellesime's dialogue.
In order to make TDD content availabe modify Ellesime's dialogue so that it doesn't teleport you to ToB but to TDD content (replace cut100a and cut100b with ddwarp01 in suelle2.dlg).
This still enables you to get to ToB, as Mary Magus can do it instead of Ellesime.

Couple minor problems encountered.

 

Selence (SoS) has BG1 weapon profiencies not BG2 weapon profiencies.

 

SoS: When you get the unremovable items back new NPCs like Ninde doesn't get her Anhk of Ascension (LK#NANKH). Any unremovable item from new NPCs are lost. Also problems (leaves party?) with Aeon and Silver Star due removed item(s) probably with Breagar and Yasraena also.

 

Too big to fix for all NPCs so didn't bother to do it. Easier to make items removable and clua them back.

Couple Vecna problems encountered.

 

Vecna: Game CTD at south-east corner at AAR002.ARE. Probaply travel trigger Aa05en00 problem (x 3560 y 2785). Didn't bother to investigate further, there's no reason to go there (nothing there except unneeded travel trigger).

Vecna: AAR036.ARE container Aa36cn01 has problem. Fixed locally with DLTCEP.

Finished Vecna and doing final few things like item various enhancements before starting ToB.

 

Rolles: When making Short/Long Sword of Freedom +5 Rolles says that he needs Belm +2 (SW1H30.ITM) but he takes Adjatha The Drinker +2 (SW1H35.ITM). Fixed locally.

 

Also starting to plan my next BWP.

Dear micbaldur, It's hard for me to believe that you gone sacrifice hundred of you custom patches and fixes which you already done and make a new BWP installation just to encounter the same bugs again!

Well i didn't understand what you mean but what ever.

 

I haven't made any patches or fixes, only reported "bugs" and oddities here (some fixed ingame by NI). Previously Lollorian made patches and fixes to BWP Fixpack but now that he's gone nobody does that anymore.

 

Because my "bugs" and oddities posts are totally useless nowadays i probably won't post these anymore for my upcoming BWP.

 

If these same bugs are present in my upcoming BWP, so what, i play it anyway, at least i know about them.

 

I'm no modder and never going to be modder.

Well, "bugs and oddities" are important because there is so many of them. It's really a shame when they don't get included inside BWP Fixpack but I can't do everything on my own.

Well it's shame that nobody maintains BWP Fixpack currently.

But still my BWP expert-installs gets less buggier each install.

I wonder ... for the people who can play using full English language, maybe there is a way to share the whole game (25 GB or so?) so they could have bug-free mega-installation? 

What, my BWP is over 40 GB. :o

 

Well you can always dream about bug-free install. :P

I can't get that container to open. It might be (don't know for sure) that invisible character who blocks it, he keeps following CHARNAME from area to area.

 

So i used DLTCEP and move it little down so that i can open it.

Well you can always dream about bug-free install. :P
+1 mod and bang, the dream is dead in the water.
This is the exact reason why no one should ever think of making a shared game(to download, but use the BWS install method).

Cromwell dialogue: If you have Blade of Roses +3 and Amber NPC is installed, Cromwell doesn't notice Shadow Dragon Scales, Red Dragon Scales, Ankheg Shell and several CtB items.

 

Update:

At least CtB items does this too so better just drop certain items.

More problems with Cromwell dialogue.

 

Munchmod: When i enhance Deathbringer i get Deathbringer. Then after i enhance something else again i get Deathbringer. Problem is that Global("SGForgeItem","AR0334",10) doesn't get set 0 at AR0334.BCS. Fixed by adding "SetGlobal("SGForgeItem","AR0334",0)" to AR0334.BCS:

Well i started ToB so only epilogue for my current BWP remains.

 

Encountered one problem and one oddity.

 

Arena: OnCreation() problem at Pocketplane (AR4500.BCS) Arena Master and Reward Claimer doesn't spawn. Fixed by removing OnCreation() at AR4500.BCS from this block:

    CreateCreature("AR#rewma",[2050.1090],1)

When checking pre-install fix at arena/baf/AR4500.BAF in arena_v1.zip i notice odd thing. File contains above block and then vanilla ToB AR4500.BCS. During install mod adds duplicate entries to AR4500.BCS. I'm not sure but think that's not necessary thing to do, above block is enough for mod to work.

 

Or i'm wrong? :blink:  Duplicate entries are needed.

Well, it might have been a try to fix already broken script for whatever reason and it gets to defeat itself as it was not extended to top (as in, set in the top of .baf file, without anything else before it).

Oookey right :blink: you mean oh..... ah.... :wacko: actually didn't understand that. :D

 

TP2-file has:

 

EXTEND_TOP ~AR4500.BCS~ ~Arena/baf/AR4500.baf~

So i go boldly (actually i'm not bald :P ) go where none has gone before and remove vanilla AR4500 lines from AR4500.BAF from that archive file.

 

Making test installs for my new BWP 15.0.1 sometimes in near future and check this then (like everything else for my fixes and tweaks).
