According to this post, Army of One is a DSotSC spell, so I'm asking here. I found it for Xan, a wizard, and copied it into his spellbook. It looks like a greater version of mirror image when you cast it. But does it actually do anything? It doesn't seem to function like mirror image.

The spell in my game appears to work. Either it has been modified and broken by some other mod, or Xan has some mysterious immunity to that spell.
Could you try casting it after removing his whole gear, with some other mage, on someone else,...?
You can create the scroll with CLUAConsole:CreateItem("scrlds32")

Could you also change-log the spell (instructions are in Jarno's FAQ for the megamods, in the megamods forum)?

PS: another possibility is that something in tobex broke mirror images. Could you try launching the game from BGMain.exe rather than tobex.exe, and see if the spell works?

Ok I think i should clarify. It does create a mirror image effect on Xan, but the mirror images don't appear to go away during combat (as mirror image ones do if they are hit) and he gets hit anyway. Normal mirror image seems to work as intended, in contrast to Army of One which seems to be cosmetic only.

Ok, let me go through those things you suggested.

Casting after removing gear:

Ok, I see now that it does make Xan move faster when it is cast on him. Xan as a level 7 bladesinger has an AC of 6 without any EQ and even without his moonblade, and he got mobbed by a pack of gibberlings. He cast Army of One and waded in with his fist. He seemed to last for a few seconds, but then two gibberlings got hits of 5 and 7 hit points on him and he went down. There didn't seem to be any mirror images missing during combat which makes me wonder if they really act as mirror images.

Ok there also appears to be something else going on with Xan because when Viconia resurrected him he had 26 hit points, whereas before he had 8. Probably weirdness associated with me changing his class to bladesinger. Anyways, he cast Army of One and waded back into combat with more gibberlings. I checked out his character sheet and noticed the STR, CON, and DEX had small bonuses on them as well. I never noticed that before because his EQ already put bonuses on those stats. With the additional hit points, Xan was able to last a few more rounds in naked-fighting with gibberlings. Long enough to get hit several times and to have his mirror images reduced to 2 before dying.

So it looks like because of Xan's low amount of hit points and the fact that almost every mob in the game can one-shot him I was unable to see any of Army of One's effects in action. Sorry for wasting your time!

I might suggest putting more information in to the spell description of Army of One because right now its only one sentence. Also, in the spellbook the icon is the same icon for Web, which is different from its scroll icon which is something white. I don't know if that is intentional or not.

It could be. Some effects might not trigger immediately.

I'm sure the improved speed is from the spell; I don't know about the stats bonuses.
Perhaps we should make a new topic with all suggestions for a next version, as looking through scattered posts for everything which has been reported might not be efficient. The mod is not currently supported, but perhaps I might find the time, sooner or later, to work on it a little...
