Hi everyone!

I'm an italian guy and i'm trying to install BGT 1.15.
I've done the following:
- Complete installation of BG + ToSC + Patch 5512
- Complete installation of BGII + ToB + Patch 26498

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit
I've got an error installing BGT, i've attached the debug file.

I have a complete installation of BGI, but in the Baldur.ini file the references to CD1, CD2, etc point to the disk driver not to my HD:

ERROR: Unix.Unix_error(_, "system", "")

Check if you have <BG2 install directory>\bgt\install\win32\x86\tis2bg2.exe correctly in this location. Looks like the installation could not start tileset conversion because the shell didn't like a command. Also check you have <BG2 install directory>\bgt\include\tis2bg2.tpa.

Thank you both for your disponibility.
Anyway, I solved the problem simply re-installing another Baldur's Gate CD version.
Now I can enjoy BGT!

Similiar problem but I don't have a CD version of BG...

I have the correct versions of BG1 and 2, windows 7 ultimate 64bit, I followed all the instructions but nothing: I always get some error during installation.

Here the debug file:

Yes, strange. Both have the same error. Something in the following code is hanging up. I'll check what the error actually means with the bigg.

i have an installation problem too (english version). during the process i get an error message about missing files from the override folder of bg1, starting with karoug.cre
i can bypass it by finding any other .cre file, making a copy and renaming it as karoug (already done it with this and other missing files), but that causes problems in game, the most comon of which is that i cannot talk to most npc

EDIT
never mind, i found the problem. turns out that the supposedly "patched to the latest version" 4 in 1 pack i have is not patched at all. i got the patches on and now it works fine

However, can you please try popping the following tp2 into your bg2 install directory (overwrite the existing), try and re-install in Italian language, and post the DEBUG file once you get the error again. All I have added is some extra PRINT so we can work out exactly at what instruction the installation stalls.

Great, thanks! We now have found an error. I wonder what the issue is here, but will let the bigg know.
In the meantime, try unzipping the attached AREA440X.zip into the <BG1 install directory>/DATA directory and try installing BGT again.

Could you please also attach your ./Baldur's Gate/DATA/AREA440X.BIF file so that we can analyse it?

Could everyone who is having this problem please state what edition/language of BG1 they have and where they obtained it from?
It may be a copy that is distributing corrupted BIFF files.
