Hi. First let me say what a wonderfully infuriating character Darian is. He is hot and cold, his actions say that he cares for you yet he pushes you away at every given chance. I want to punch him and kiss him at the same time. Here's my problem though,he told my pc that he needs space and time away from her. My pc told him to take all the space he nedded but that they would have to work it out eventually. I then kicked him out of the party and he did not protest. He is just standing there where I left him. I then recruited Anomen cause I need a healer. Was that the wrong thing to do? Or was the romance already over? Please help.

The romance is over, sort of. You've concluded the playable ToB arc of the romance, but you need to keep Darian in the party through the end of the game to see the consequences of your actions due to how ToB and the epilogues work.

"The righteous need not cower before the drumbeat of human progress. Though the song of yesterday fades into the challenge of tomorrow, God still watches and judges us. Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the streets of yesterday, but it was never the streets that were evil." - Sister Miriam Godwinson, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

So did I do something wrong or does he always have this talk?

He'll always reach this point sooner or later - if you put him off, Darian will eventually confront you directly. He accurately realizes just how artificial and confused the relationship is, and reality is beginning to sink in. The ToB arc of the romance cannot end on a peaceful, happy, loving note. When you reach the epilogue, things may or may not play out as you wish. He does have ten different romance-related epilogues...
